Knowing.

We are pretty desensitised when it comes to what we see on movie screens, especially when it is CGI, but this was the first movie in a long time to give me chills.

I second "The Fall." Phenomenal and totally unique.

I'll also add the Russian flick "Night Watch" and to a slightly lesser extent, the sequel "Day Watch."

Hmmmmm I suppose by the tile you have to take into account that last movie that "Blew" you away and has been released in a good to great Blu-ray edition.

In that case, Wall*E.

The Dark Knight comes close, so do Milk (superb sound, I was impressed), Vicky Christina Barcelona (though shame on the audio for that blu release). I am eagerly awaiting blu-rays for Benjamin Button and The Reader.

The Prestige...I can get up and pause a movie for a little bit and come back with no problem. Not that movie.. i didnt want to stop because i was afraid i would miss something. Quickly became one of my all time favorites.

Band of Brothers

I remember seeing bits and pieces of this over the past few years and enjoying it. I bought it a couple of months ago when Amazon had it for like $39.99 that one day and when I got my new Denon Receiver and updated all my hook ups with HDMI this was the first thing I watched. All 10 episodes one after another one weekend.

My wife was working that weekend and only watched the last 2 and she wanted to see the whole thing so I watched them again with her on Monday and Tuesday night and still felt the same way I did watching over the weekend.
