The cs2 is not a bad center for rti a series it will work just fine temporarily.You can find good deals on the csi centers.I got my csi a4 from polk direct for 169.99 it is refeurbished but just like new.

Your talking a small upgrades to tsi 300 or 400s. Barely any noticeable difference. Spend the money and get the RTi line, you'll be happier for longer.

Your center not matching is a very minor thing, it's not that huge of a deal as everyone makes it out to be. I got my csi5 for $249 brand new off ebay.

I have a CS10 for my center and TSi100s for the surrounds, but i have SF5000(Sony) floorstandings as fronts, would i notice a big difference between the SF5000 and say a monitor 60 or TSi400s(and is there a big difference between the two to justify the 400s higher price?)

At around 600 dollars for the pair of TSi400s, I would say no. You could get the Polk Monitor 60s or Polk T90es for a lot cheaper and have the same speaker or you could get a different speaker in that price range of 600 dollars that is much better.

The RTi's are awesome. I am a fan of the A7's.

the tsi's speakers are designed to run more efficiency & are a tad louder if you kept the volume at the same level from switching from Monitor 50's to tsi 400's

the other pro's are :more detailed,clarity,improved sound field..

the entire model design change from monitor to tsi should be able to tell you they do sound different from Monitor line to the Tsi line...but i'm glad to make my choice based on knowing the Tsi's are a higher quality sounding speaker since i heard them both...dont think so?...tell the guy next door who heard my system & put his polk Monitor's on ebay the next month

..even liked the shiney black piano finish on top
Tsi = a step up.

Just someone trying to justify a purchase, similar to putting racing stripes on your car and saying it is faster...

Also, if I could get the RTiA5 or a TSi400 for the same price the choice is easy.

No doubt. So he put 'em on ebay- what's he driving his with? What are you driving yours with? Did you listen to the same track? What about room acoustics/size?

Even Polk has replied to users by saying they're the same. If they look good enough to you to justify the price, then awesome- good purchase. If they're the same price, yeah, jump on the TSi's. But don't try and give them some characteristics they don't have.

I love my RTI10's, and hey, I have all 4 of my surround channels in TSI's so, I've got the best of both worlds! Oh yes, that CSi5 center is f'n sweet too! My new amp really brings out the speakers like I've never heard them sound before!
