PS3 exclusives aren't always 1080p. Many aren't. But you might notice that the 360 has basically no 1080p titles besides simple games, and the PS3 has an increasing number of them. GT5P in particular proves that the PS3 platform can do heavyweight game play, graphics, and resolution at the same time. The 360 simply does not have the power to go there.

we get shafted, as ps3 owners, because they port us a game from 360 to ps3

what every game developer SHOULD DO is make the game they want for ps3 then port 'what they can' to the crapbox360 and let them have a weaker version.

ps3 is a muscle machine yet we are stuck with a 360 game due to the 360 limitations.

You can force the games to be 1080p by disabling the 720p and 1080i output but it really looks terrible. I don't think that games being 720p detract from their look in anyway. Making too big a deal about something that is already really good.

1080p is not feasible for cross platforming because it requires more work. The 360 version might be inferior, but it would come out alot quicker due to less workload on the devs.

Its about time and money really. I'm not even sure most dev's would like the challenge of cramming a game into 1080p on a ps3. It seems rather tricky.

Gt5 is quite unique, its exclusive to ps3, the team has unlimited resources and they get the best things first (Apps, routines). As rightly pointed out, they don't have a 360 version to worry about either.

i believe i defined it just fine i prefer to have FUN over looking at pretty images .. sorry im not a high school girl where my life is defined by how things LOOK ..... !!!!

and if you are so unhappy with the system then stop playing .. the masses are more than happy to have 720p with good gameplay ....

Id like to have more games in 1080P. i figure if the games are costing $60 a piece, they can step it up and give us 1080p more often...

In 5 years time the PS4 will be out and you will find something else to moan about. 1080p as a standard resolution is only a few years away.

720p vs 1080p does not define "good graphics".

If you don't care how things look, WHY exactly are you using Blu-Rays?

I'm sure you'd be perfectly happy if all future games came out with 8-bit graphics right?

Gameplay vs. Graphics IS...NOT...A...CHOICE. One does not cost you the other. Lose the brainwashing.

Blame Xbox360 for this one, having the game multi-platform ruins the chances that out PS3 version should be in 1080P. Given they have a whopping 9GB opposed to our 50GB disk to work with they would be able to make our games better.
