I vote Matrix. I actually love all three films, and think that they have excellent replay value. Batman Anthology has two okay films (in my opinion) and two that are complete disasters.

What flyboy said, but since you already have The Godfather you might want to consider the Bourne Collection, or the Austin Powers Collection. Just remember, the first Batman will be out individually in a couple of months and I would guess the others will follow.

I agree with most of the other people in this thread, I'd go with the Matrix collection because it has three good films and the Batman Anthology only has two.

Does anyone know if the PQ on the individual release of the Matrix is better than the one in the collection or is it the exact same disc.

Iceman_mw21,

Why?

Do you need the sets? Do you have nothing else to spend 60 bucks on? Do you already have everything else you want on Blu-ray? Why is yor friend selling, did he realize he wasted his money?

Buy Matrix and Batman single discs, that is it. 48 dollars and still have 12 left to pick up something like a Rambo flick for 9.99. Also Crash and Reservior Dogs seem to belong in your collection.

Batman Returns was good, have the DVD and I've never watched it more than twice, so can't see buying it on Blu. Watched Batman many, many times.

Would you buy Matrix 2 and 3, Animatrix, Batman 3 and 4 if they were available for 10 or 15 dollars each? I wouldn't. I looked at your collection you have good movies, don't ruin it with this crap.

This seems to be a pretty easy decision to me. The Matrix all the way.

Look, with The Matrix collection you get a classic, groundbreaking, amazing film in the first movie. A great (and better film, IMHO) even more action packed movie in "Reloaded". A good but somewhat disappointing movie with "Revolutions", even so, it's worth having for the final fight between Neo and Smith. And on top of all that you get the Animatrix and tons of great extras.

Now with the Batman anthology you get two great movies in "Batman" and "Batman Returns" and a below average, yet, entertaining film in "Batman Forever". Then you get the almost complete ruination of the Batman legacy in the just awful "Batman and Robin" (everyone get down on your knees and thank Mr. Nolan for redeeming Batman from the hell Schumacher took it). By the way, not many extras here.

Ergo, visa vi, concordantly...get The Ultimate Matrix collection.

From that franchise, they have gone down hill after Batman Returns.

So The Matrix.

Sorry that thrid film was a peice of crap from the word go! In fact the thrid Matrix was so bad it killed what quality the second one had. The Matrix is a stand alone film in my opinion and not dependant on the 2nd and 3rd one.
