Cool Another freaking AWESOME movie NOT yet on blu ray!

WTF?? Oh sure, you can get all the latest horrible movies on blu ray but not movies like Jackie Brown or Pulp Fiction? What gives Q?

"I hate to be the kind of ****** that does a ****** a favor and then asks that ****** to help him out but I got to be that ******!" Ordel Robie to Beaumont trying to convince him to get in the trunk of his car.

WOOHOO! Jackie Brown is my favorite by Tarantino for sure. Shame it doesn't get the respect it deserves. Of course we film buffs love it, but the average Joe Six Pack who likes the other, more action-packed Tarantino flicks couldn't give a shit about it. Oh well, maybe it's better that way... Jackie is like our hidden gem. Can't wait to see it in HD!

If I remember correctly JB is the only Tarantino flick shot in "flat ratio" (IE 1.85).

Great flick, ya cant go wrong w/ Robert DeNiro, Pam Grier, and Robert Forster in the same film!

OK, I'll play - but I'm sure I'll get flamed. (And yes, we're off topic)

I saw "Stardust" a couple of years ago, a perfectly enjoyable fairy tale, but nothing to write home about. DeNiro played a space pirate. Whatever, this was during the time when he was doing mostly self-deprecating work and I was missing him as an actor. I expected little from him here.

Surprisingly, he brought his full game to such a trivial silly character. I wasn't watching Robert DeNiro from "Meet the Fockers." I was watching Robert DeNiro from "Raging Bull" playing a comedic role.

It was refreshing.

Not sure how IGN got a hold of this announcement, but make plans for Oct. 4th folks!

retail $19.99

All new remastering supervised by Tarentino himself. 1080p with lossless audio; distributed by Lionsgate.

USA Jackie Brown's Deleted/Alternate Scenes?

Can't wait! Both Pulp and Jackie will be day one buys!

My only concern though is on IGN (http://bluray.ign.com/articles/118/1184298p1.html), the special features are listed, however the deleted/alternate scenes from Jackie Brown from the two disc (R1) DVD aren't on the list. Does anyone know if they are confirmed for the blu-rays or not?

This was my favorite QT film until Inglorious Basterds. It's tough for me to pick between the two. Jackie Brown has a special place in my heart for sure. JB is so wonderfully written, acted and directed. A truly fantastic movie experience. I feel this is Samuel Jackson's finest performance ever.

Does anyone else think this movie is overrated by Tarrantino standards? i think it's probably the least favorite of all his films for me. It's still a good movie and the extras look decent but I'm not sure It'll be an instant purchase for me.

I consider it probably his best movie and definitely his most mature movie.

I actually find it the most under-rated of Tarantino's films. The dialog in this film is superb, the acting is excellent and the directing is great.
