I've been waiting so long for this movie that it deserves its own thread

This film is the most under-rated of Tarrantino films and when the DVDs were released years back I think it was Premeire mag reviewed both DVDs and they believed as time passes Jackie Brown may hold up more so than Pulp Fiction. Each film is different but I have seen Jackie Brown a billion times and each time it feels fresh.

Can't wait to see how good it looks on blu

My favorite QT movie, will double dip for the right price. Hopefully they offer a MIR rebate for DVD owners.

Jackie Brown is totally underrated... I think it very well might be his best. Can't wait!

Finally, some people I agree with on this forum. This is by far Tarantino's best film. I don't think he will ever surpass it. But I do hope he keeps trying to.

I'm in agreement here with everyone... GREAT MOVIE. Very underrated.
Same thing that happened to Big Lebowski. Fargo was huge for the Coen brothers, so a lot of non-Coen fans saw BG, expecting another Fargo... but it was a totally different. Same thing with Jackie Brown... it came right after Pulp Fiction, and was a totally different experience. A lot of people just blew it off. Their loss!

Awesome! I'm much more excited about this than I am about Pulp, but I'll be picking them both up on day 1.

Thumbs up

Totally agreement with you all. While I love KILL BILL VOL. 1 (awesome blu-ray, by the way)... JACKIE BROWN stands as Tarantino's best script and best direction... the movie is amazing and never gets old watching it. A most welcome addition to my Blu-Ray collection...

I will definitely be getting this one! Jackie Brown is definitely Tarantino's most underrated film, it seems people almost forget he even did it when they talk about him.

I have to get in on the Jackie Brown love fest. I tend to follow the reviews before I decide on the upgrade, but I'll most likely buy it.

Awesome movie with a perfect soundtrack. Quentin was firing on all cylinders when he made this one. I'll buy this as well as Pulp Fiction.

Can't wait. A great film and, although I prefer Pulp Fiction to Jackie Brown (and Reservoir Dogs to both), I think Jackie Brown will be the superior film for the format. It's such a lush film with such a stylish and rich look.
