60Hz is more desirable in terms of refresh rate, but 48Hz is more desirable in terms of no 3:2 judder (96 eliminates 3:2 judder as well). To be honest, 3:2 judder is one of the least noticeable aspects of watching TV and you've been seeing it for 10 years on DVD, so you should find that if the flicker of 48Hz mode is distracting that 60Hz will do just fine. |

The picture is so freaking gorgeous in 60Hz that it wouldn't concern me as a feature anyway, but I think it's definitely a case by case situation. Some people may not notice it at all, others may find it strong. |

The point of it is, a new selling feature. I would choose a set based on ANSI contrast, black levels, colour accuracy, motion resolution and processing (deinterlacing/3:2 cadence/etc.) far ahead of judder-free 24p mode. |
