Because of all the extra dub languages they have to add in, they need the extra space

Lobbying your countrymen to go with subtitles is about the only answer to the problem unfortunately, at least until volume is high enough that paying for seperate EU encodes is viable on all titles

Thanks for your time answering me this question,

i have only two titles done By fox which are region B,the remaining titles from Fox are region A and they are posted in my collection.i guess for this reason too many subtitles and dub languages lead them to disconnect master audio due to space as you have mentioned. But what is not clear enough for me that Hitman on region B is BD-25 including too many subtitles and dub languages as following English is DTSHD master audio,Castilian spanish, italian, russian are DTS 1.5mbs and Csech,Hungarian Dolby Digital plus Polish in 2.0 digital Surround.this title is region B only.

Quantum of Solace done on BD-50 and too many subtitles but dubbing languages are English in high resolution,French, russian 5.1 DTS,Check ,polish, hungarian, turkish, ukranian in Dolby Digital 5.1 can't include master audio in english just omitted in favor of Extras, they can deliver two disc ,it is done in US why not here.why they should be coded B and C,because of another countries we should sacrifice it.This is unacceptable .In my opinion they should do Region B alone and region C alone and not interfere all the globing globe in one plan.why region coded is done to differentiate one from another and not doing mixes.

Hopefully soon everything will be fixed because when you invest in a blu-ray player capable of DTSHD master audio you should get the right title to enjoy it.Sorry for this attitude but i have my plan to act accordingly for purchasing Blu-ray movies in future as it should be.I'll return back to US or Canada and brought my suitable titles who is different here in my country and not suitable for my needs.

Best Regards,

It all has to do with the actual bitrate of the movie and how much space there is left over. Stripping out the "master" data thread is sthe easiest way to get an extra 2-3 DD tracks in. It's all about the bandwidth during playback more than actual disc space

Adding a second disc for extras is not something that most studios want to do right now if they can avoid it, because it's close to $2 extra expense, not to mention tens of thousands on authoring charges

After all i can't resist anymore to wait till have somebody going abroad and get my copy ,especially after i have heard comments on the PQ of this disc so i bought it already know it is only DTS high resolution, cost me around $38.i have watched it and it is gorgeous concerning the PQ ,have enjoy it in Cine as i did at home, but the PQ still in my mind and i still remember some details when i had watched it in Theater so the comparison was negligible. Clearly at home viewing was more than i expected gorgeous. No comment for the time being on AQ.

Thanks,

I'd just like to state that every French release of James Bond movies (except for Casino Royale which was released by Sony, I think) have a DTS-HD High Resolution encoding on the English track.

No wonder no one wants to buy the French versions.

Yeah, I'm wondering this too. I think this topic is a good idea, but it needs to be updated once in a while.

I also have some movies I could check, but I'm waiting for this to be updated. ;-)

I will do that. But I also need information and input from members over here. Thus far 1 title can be added. I will look it up. Besides it seems quiet on those sub optimal releases (fortunately).

I'm glad to inform you lately FOX has been revised our fear and X-men Volverine plus night at the museum part 2 does indeed include Master Audio ,Have them @ home and tested.I'm sure Jeff communicate with fox representative to fix this issue. So from now and on count on Master Audio.

Sony is doing it from the first time correctly with master audio like Angels and Demons and Taking of Pelham 123 ,have them too.

Just Bond collection released lately do have DTS high resolution.

The latter is not true. I have the James Bond collection on Blu-ray (the 6-pack from the UK), which definitely contains DTS-HD Master Audio. My receiver says so.

ok UK you got most of them in DTSHD master audio whereas,in other countries like middle east and some europe countries do have only DTSHD High Resolution.

Last example is Quantum Of Solace have only DTSHD High Resolution,Whereas UK got DTSHD master audio.

But i'm very happy latest releases now are doing it correctly as the examples i gave in my preceding post.

Alright, now I am satisfied with your statement. ;-)
Not to attack you, but it's quite strong stating that THE James Bond Collection has DTS-HD HR. You'd be better off telling which release you base your experience on. But thanks for your explanation.

I know it's the principle of it in one way, that you want the best available, and I'm not defending fox's policies either, but a hi res track a 3mbps is a huge improvement over what we had on dvd and, dare I say it, I wonder if even the most astute audiophile could tell the difference between a HR and a MA track in a blind listening test.
I agree, but ANYTHING is better than that stupid Dolby Digital 5.1 track they have used on many of their titles. The WORST though is Warner bros. I'm so sick of dolby 5.1 . If I wanted that crap, I would buy the Dvd. I don't spend good money on Blu-ray to get crap. Isn't that what they are advertising anyways....."perfect picture", "perfect sound"? Warner bros. is great at just slapping an audio track right off of the dvd.
