There is no format war, just the desperate last gasps of breath from the dying HD-DED format. Look at the top 25 HD discs on www.hdgamedb.com. The entire top 25 consists of Blu-ray discs, apart from Planet Earth, The Matrix and The Frighteners. And of those, PE is also available on Blu-ray, and The Matrix will be. The Frighteners is down in 24th place.

It's not a war, it's a massacre.

This is because of the Amazon buy 2 get 1 free BD sales. The same thing happened earlier this year with the other BD sale. If they have the same type of sale for HD DVD, the same thing will happen for HD DVDs.

When/If you choose to write to universal, be sure to include a link to the "what would you do if universal stays HDDVD exclusive"https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...newpost&t=9630 thread. The poll at the top of the page might interrest them $$$ wise.
Essentially 70% of the people who purchase Blu-rays would never buy a unviersal title in that case.
So isn't that 70% of the larger market base that they aren't tapping?!
