The controls are much better than I thought they would be. Very steep learning curve (like I had read) but after you learn them or go through the Tutorial they become very intuitive. This game is a blast. I've spent a good 3 hours tonight just playing the demo! My only concern though is that the fighters could end up being extremely unbalanced. I won every single fight as Chuck Liddell, half the time without even trying. As Shogun I have only managed to win 2 out of 7 and I wasn't doing anything different??

kept on using Iceman on this one, and pretty much impressed by the game itself. too easy to knock out someone tho, and not knowing my 'health' or the other players stats are a bit misleading too.

graphics were pretty nice for what it is, and you can tell that the player starts to sweat at one point or another, based on its training 'area'... i like the fact that you can 'play' the way you want to, without any miscontrusions.

all in all, i think this is a great game, something different. i hope it does end up being a good seller.

I played the demo yesterday for nearly 3 hours with Shogun, my first impressions was that the game played out a lot like WWF Wrestlmania 2000 in the way it controlled and also the pacing / speed of the game. To me it was really fun but also its far from perfect. When the fight would get to the ground, I could do a triangle, kimura, or armbar. I wish you could do transitional submissions like if I can't get the kimura to go I wanna transition to an omaplata or get into rubber guard position. I'm not sure if its in the list of moves but I was wanting to do Shoguns kill switch scissor kick he does in mid-air, so far its been no avail. This is a first for a franchise so its forgiveable as first time sports titles are never perfect. They could have made Arianny look more true to life like they did with Stitch and Mario Yamasaki and henceforth. haha I'm hoping that when I play with BJ Penn or Demian Maia I can do their signature stuff like rubber guard, taking the back, using flexibility and balance to defend a takedown and so forth. By the looks of the screen shots I've seen, I believe it will be included in the game. Another thing that comes to mind is that I notice there seemed to be a lack of bobbing and weaving, which I know Shogun does.

I just downloaded it last night, the controls are complicating! I just wanna learn how you do a roundhouse kick to the face.

Roundhouse kicks are done by using the L1 button and either a X or an O (designated kicks, with left and right respectively)

I played the demo a ton already. It's freaking sweet! What people aren't realizing is that Rua doesn't have a ton of punching power in the game, but his kick power is higher. Chuck's punching is higher, but kicking is lower. If you play the game the way people fight in real life it is enjoyable and seems great so far. I'll be picking this one up on launch day for sure. I'm a huge MMA fan though also.

It's made by the same company. THQ. I don't see anything different. But it will be a more enjoyable game than SVR. Which has gotten very repetitive over the last several series.

This game is tons of fun. I played it for about 4 hours this weekend. There are a few glitches that would be nice if they fixed before release. Things I have found which annoy me...

1.) Blocking needs to be tweaked slightly in the favor of the defender more. Even when I have the block in the right place I'd say about 50% of the time he actually blocks. And when you are on your back on the ground you can't block worth jack....

2.) When executing punches standing toe to toe very closely when one guy starts punching you the guy freezes every punch and you can't block or move. This happens on the ground as well.

3.) As stated before replays need to be enhanced because a lot of the time it shows a hit not hitting the opponent and that shouldn't be too hard to fix as well.

So far those are my only complaints with the game but other than that it is very fun. The computer on advanced is really cheap on the ground as he usually manages to turn you over and have a full mount on you. But playing with friends is awesome and I can't wait to have a bigger range of fighters to choose from!

I wanna learn how to do grappling moves instead of just taking them down then rockin em w/punches. I think I got most of the moves down with Liddell but I still wanna armbar someone, Kata ha jime be a cool move to pull on someone.

I agree regarding the computer on the ground. I was on the advanced level and trying to use Rua alot, but as soon as Im taken down, the computer gains full mount pretty easily. I think the control scheme will take some getting use to...doing all the transitions....Im looking forward though to this game!

Fight Night Round 4's looking pretty amazing, I can't wait to play as Lewis, Tyson etc.

I've yet to play the UFC demo, but if it's half as good as Fight Night Round 3 I may buy it, Street Fighter type games don't appeal.

Uh no. He was never a UFC fighter (thank God). He was a street fighter not an MMA fighter. First no-name guy he fought that was an MMA fighter absolutely wrecked him. Kimbo Slice is like taking a hockey player/fighter and putting him in the ring. Just absolute ridiculousness.

This demo was pretty fun for sure
You can only play the computer right, no two-player mode on the demo?
