This movie is funny to me. I can't say that I love it, but whenever it is on cable, and I run across it, I can't turn it off and watch it till the end. Many of my so-called favorite movies, I watch a few minutes and flip past. Maybe it is because I already own them, or maybe it is because I secretly really do like this movie. At this price, I will pick it up.

I'm a big fan of this movie, although a little ashamed to admit it. Very atmospheric in places. Langella and Depp are great. Already pre-ordered mine and very pleasantly surprised that it will be on Blu earlier than I thought.

I would definitely recommend a rental, especially if you like mystery or old-school suspense, horror movies. This is NOT a gory movie, so fans of modern horror may not be interested.

probably will order as soon as the specs are announced. have the dvd and probably watched it half a dozen times over the years. really like this movie for some reason. maybe because I feel it almost boarders on corny, like a b-movie.

one of my favorite movies. the cast was amazing. depp had the "dr. strange" look going on. especially when his hair was a little gray towards the end. listen up marvel, depp should be the only choice for the sorcerer supreme.

Frantic was bad IMO, but I do love The Ninth Gate and will pick this up if it has a great transfer. I remember a quote from Harrison Ford saying instead of Frantic it should have been called "Slightly Disturbed" or something to that effect.

I hadn't read the book either the first few times I watched it and I found it very enjoyable. I have read the book now, and I found the book to be incredibly boring.....and I mean really really boring. So glad I watched the movie first or I would have never bothered! Not very many times can I say I like a movie better than a book!

great Polanski movie. One of the few movies I watched with directors commentary after first viewing. Very interesting stuff about how the movie was made. One example, remember when Depp is leaving that bookstore and is walking in the narrow alley with the scaffolding, and then it begins tumble? Two completely different shots were used, one of Depp just running to avoid nothing really, and then another of the scaffolding tumbling without Depp. Then the two were laid on top of each other. Simple, but still very cool. I'll replace my DVD with this blu when it comes out.

No, you are not the only one. I thought it was horrible as well. Roman Polanski is overrated IMO.

i cant stand to see all these movies at the 13.99 pricepoint. Yes its a good price but these will be under $10 easily. Look at all the 9.99 sales we have now. Its like they are begging to be bought but i have to withstand, there are just too many!

Emmanuelle Seigner in her prime. Who wouldn't want to see that beauty in 1080p? Plus it's a great movie to boot. Depp and Langella are masters of their craft indeed. Highly recommended flick.
