Maybe that's why John Connor looks so surprised to see the Marcus character. We know from the 2nd movie that the T-800 series has an organic skin but maybe the Marcus character is the next advancement in their technology. That would explain Bale's surprised look in the trailers. From what I gather the terminators kidnap some humans and combine them with a terminator to make a hybrid.

Anyways, if this is the ending it's dumb IMO. I will have to wait and see it myself but as someone already said
