I agree, this needs to be released on Bluray, or for crying out load, release the movie on DVD in anamorphic widescreen.

I've heard the same thing. But months ago, it aired on HBO and he did a commentary on Twitter discussing the film as it aired, which I don't think he would do if he didn't care or disowned the film.

I think we'll see it released eventually.

Would be awesome.
He once said he wanted to buy the rights and do a deluxe edition on dvd, but Paramount turned him doing stating that if it sold well it would make them ( the studio) look like a bunch of idiots.

At least paramount should re-release this title in anamorphic widescreen, instead of the junk non-anamorphic crap they have now.

I would definitely buy this. My late uncle took me to see this on opening weekend, and I thought it was fantastic. I had never actually listened to Stern on the radio, but I was familiar with him from his E! show. A few years later, I ended up becoming a radio personality for a classic rock station, so maybe this movie has some silent impact on that. Also, several years ago, I was visiting a radio friend in Cleveland and I got the opportunity to meet the real Pig Vomit. Nice guy. Didn't ask him about Stern though. I didn't want to be called "a motherf___ing Antichrist!!"

Like you, I would buy this day1 to upgrade my dvd. I'm kind of surprised it hasn't happened already. Stern, is a pretty big name and you'd think a large portion of his legion of loyal fans would purchase this. Hope it happens someday soon!

How is this not already on blu-ray? This movie obviously has a core fanbase that most fans don't have. 1.2 Million Listeners tune in to Howard 101 a week. 5% of those people would surely but this at least. Your at 600,000 sold minimum.

I agree! I saw this OTA HD, and it looked pretty good. Hopefully someday!

There's an official poll from Paramount on bluray-disc.de (one of the biggest
German Blu-ray websites) and they included "Private Parts" in that poll! I just voted >>>

Kind of surprised this has not been releases in the US yet, as popular as Stern is, with a legion of fans. I'm sure it will be an abover average catalog seller.
