I love both films. I personally like H1KC better than DR. DR was an all around better film, but I guess H1KC just hits a spot with me.
I own DR and have been debating on getting H1KC because the bluray doesn't include the interactive menu at the beginning with Captain Spaulding which I thoroughly enjoy. |

I bought this wonderful movie a few months ago (a little after a dull Halloween, I might add)...and I decided to watch it again last night (in celebration of Easter?!?)...and I noticed that the image seems to be really sharp -- I mean...almost too sharp.
Still, it's a great title to own...but was it TOO sharp? |

I'm getting really irritated that there's no Australian or UK blu of this yet. The only region B friendly releases seem to be the german or the spanish. The german is out of the question because its been cut by 1 or 2 minutes, but I can't seem to find any information or opinions on the spanish release of House of 1000 Corpses. Can anyone here tell me if its worth getting?

Yep, including the "longer than the movie" making of, all on a 25GB disc. Imagine what that does to the video quality. No lossless audio, either, not even plain DTS.

Just keep the dvds for the features, but the A/V quality of the BD's (US versions) are a huge step up from the dvds. House looks like a cartoon, which I'm sure is intentional. Rejects is a lot dirtier, but still shines in many scenes. I waited forever on these too due to the missing features but am glad I finally got em.

I really like this movie even though I'm not a huge horror fan. I can understand why a lot of people don't like it though. I thought it was a good homage to b-movies, and I know RZ is a huge fan of old horror movies, so you know what he was going for.

I did the same, and i enjoyed both of them. I really love the Otis character..."I am the Devil, and i am here to do the Devil's work".
