I'm looking at the DV-64's and wondering if they have any kind of floor spike on them? The pictures I've seen don't seem to show any. Thanks.

I bought the BIC DV84. They don't have spikes on the bottom. Small rubber feet are supplied. I read the DIY tread that Big Daddy started on risers for Subs. I will probably build risers for the DV84's and a sub that I ordered the other day.

Default Bic Formula FL6-LCR

After much research I purchased 5 Bic Formula FL6-LCR speakers I absolutely love them! At only $100.00 apiece here in Las Vegas they were a steal, sound great for movies and music, added 2 10" BIC subs and my system came in around $800.00. they sound every bit as good as my old $4,000.00 Paradigm system that I moved upstairs.http://www.bicamerica.com/showpage.p...pe=6&spkrID=83

Henson, how big is your viewing/listening area? I ordered a BIC V1220 but I'm starting to wonder if I will need another because my viewing area is 17x17.5 but the over all room is 29x17.5 when I add in the kitchen. Do you or anyone think that one will be enough?

anyone able to vouch for the bookshelf and center venturi line & sub from BIC?

Right now I have the acoustech set but need to downgrade to bookshelfs and smaller satellite speakers. Going to miss my pl-200 sub.. but I believe I can do good things with the v-1220

Default Venturi DV62SI Help Please

Hey Does anyone have the Venturi DV62SI I was wondering My speaker mounts I have right now you attach a little Screw head through a bracket on the back of the speakers. Do these speakers have a mounting bracket on them or do you need to use a side clamp mounting system. I was planning on getting these for my surround speakers but I need to make sure they will work with my mounts.

Thanks

My current setup using PL89's, PL28, and PL66's (not shown). Love these speakers, but afraid I'll have to downgrade to satellites as these take up too much space in my small 140sqft memorabilia room. Anyway, here is the front end:

I have the F12 Bic sub, pretty happy with it. Can't go wrong for $200 bucks.

Temped but for like a 9x14 bedroom a 12" sub seems overkill I was thinking about a 10"

The room you see in the above pic is 12 x 14, but with my display cabinets along the right wall shrinks the room down to 10 x 14. Anyway, I use an M&K MX350 in the room, and it's definitely not too much for it.

Henson,
I am the proud owner of a pair of bic fh65b and they rock the house. Great for home theater usein my dedicated room. I have 7.1 ss and these serve as front left and rights. Awesome sound

I know Bic has the DV-5's.They have the 5 1/4 inch woofer in the middle and then a 3/4 inch dome tweeter and bass port on each side, about 90 degrees apart from each other.

I know they have a dual voice coil so they can be run as a single speaker or they can be run as two seperate speakers for the side or rear surrounds.
Since my back wall has a window right dead center of it,I would have to get two of these speakers and use them as sides or rears.

The questions are.Are these speakers of good enough quality to use them in the home theater set-up I have going on?And then since the (2) tweeters are 90 degrees apart and the woofer in the middle would you position them as side or rear surrounds?

I have a desk and bookcase on the right hand side of my room with the desk about middle way down the wall. Then the bookcase is at the very end of the right wall with the back of the bookcase on the right wall and the small side wall up against the back wall of the room.
I am taking both of these pieces of furniture out of the room. That will let me widen my front speakers about a foot to 18 inches from the sides of my audio/video stand.

And will remove the bookcase which will block and reflect some of the surround sound coming from the BIC DV-5 out of the side tweeters. So with the bookcase and desk gone,it will allow me to open up my surround walls and position these bi-polar type surrounds(one of the tweeter sizes)wide open, where it would not have been before with the furniture(bookcase, desk)in the way.

So has anyone used or listened to these BIC Speakers? And if they have are they descent performers,or would they be a waste of time and money.
Todd,
I personally have bic fh-65b as my front right and left speakers and a polk center, probably not optimum for the front l + r but anyhow- checkout the fluance avbp2 speakers. Very inexpensive and quite well made with warranty. Their bookshelf and floorstanders are not the best, but they really do excel at their bipolar speakers. I emplore you to take a peak at them, i own a pair and i just watched a movie in 7.1 (the Hobbit) and all i can say is wow. Room filling sound for $120 a pair. Ya i said a pair, and free freakin shipping to boot. Take a look. http://fluance.com/product/AVBP2_Bip...rs.eng-79.html

Having Star Wars stuff in your HT will always get a big from me. Very nice work on the room though. Nice and clean.

How do you like those Fluance bipolar/dipole surrounds?

Another note, i dig my Bic center. After changing to the huge dayton 3k 2-way crossovers, added deadening material along exposed walls, and added a vertical brace behind the tweet about in the middle, its smokin deep sounding and so crazy capable. Fwiw

Default Hey specialist

The avbp2's arereally good. Like i always say i am not an audiophile, but... They are a huge difference from my polk tsi-100's. i liked the polks but i love thefluance avbp2's. i dont know anything about their other products but these are made and perform very well. Used to have klipsch rs-41's, went over to polk and now these. They are better than the klipsch by a smidge and way better than the polk tsi-100's. i am very satisfied and nobody i have introduced to them in my theater has said any different. I always let people decide and then ask them what they think, they dont live here so they dont know but they alway say the sound felt so full and i love seeing people get scared or look around as to think "what the hell was that"
