I love the trailers at theater and at home. In the theater it's to see what's coming up that I might get excited for. At home it's to remind me of movies I might still need to get that I might have forgotten about. I also like to watch really great trailers again and again. If it's something I'm not interested in I have no problems hitting the skip button I'm in no hurry.

I don't mind seeing the trailers when I see a movie at the theater, but when I put in a movie at home, I don't want them at all. Ever. I just want to watch the movie. I either want the disk to go directly to the menu, or for the movie to start playing. I could also do without all the federal warning crap before the movies too.

i love trailers, but would like the option to skip if i want. also it would be nice if they considered it standard to include the theatrical trailers for the film you bought. some do and some dont.
i even have a couple boxes of 35mm trailers back before the film companies wanted them back. |

No thanks. I like watching them in theatres, but not before a movie I purchased or even rented. Cross-promotion trailers should be kept in extra features or in a Previews section.
Lets work more on getting the trailers for the film you bought actually on the frickin' disc you bought! I hate buying a disc that does not include the trailer for that particular film. For example, Fox's old 2-Disc 5 Star Collection DVD for The French Connection had the trailer for the film on both disc 1 & disc 2. The new 2-Disc BD has no trailer... Boooo! |

At the theaters it's one thing and part of the movie going experience. The trailers are for new, recent movies, not old ones.
Watching trailers at home before a movie really gets old. Many of the trailers are for movies that I already have in my collection. It's just gets to be bothersome and a nuisance especially when the BD defeats the option of pressing the main menu or top menu button. In that case, I have to skip through all of the trailers in order to get to the main menu. For BDs, trailers should be on BD-live. That way, if you really have the hankering to watch trailers, you can download new trailers from the studio on their web site. |

what would be a novel idea is to have trailers and promo spots that they played during the theatrical run to emulate a true movie going experience. So with the Dark Knight BD you would get a commercial for Coke and a trailer for Watchmen. Dont forget Fandango and to turn off your cell phone.
