Perfection is what every videophile wants in a video display. Pioneer has gone the extra mile to cater to the videophile’s stringent requirements.Blackest black levels of any flat panel on the market today?
Check Colors that make your eyes want to divorce your eye sockets? Check Dynamic contrast range that is guaranteed to cause couch potato syndrome? Check Grayscale that rivals $40,000 studio monitors? Got that too Check ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The PRO-111FDs $5,000 MSRP right now $2,799.99. However, I personally could never put a price on perfection. The PRO-111FD has it all. At this point I’ve run out of things to say about the PRO-111FD. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Personally I have over 545 Blu-Ray Disc and counting and I have 2 Denon AVR 5308CI and Epson 7500UB Home Theater Cinema Projector and Two Pioneer BDP 09 Blu-ray Players, Two PS3 80gb first generation models, One Pioneer Elite Kuro 50 inch PRO-111FD. All running M1000 HDTV HDMI Cable. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by BReeves588; 05-24-2009 at 12:34 AM. |

Hmmm, I'm actually thinking of getting one of the 141FD signature series. Can someone tell me, are the calibration settings on the 141's pretty much the same as the 151's? In other words, if I find a good set of 151 settings online, could I apply these to the 141 just the same?

These Pioneer plasma screens have an excellent build quality. I realize normal homeowners will operate the Pioneer screens between 70-80 degrees (F) but for extreme locations like factories and other locations that have low and high temperatures the Pioneer PRO-141FD has a large operating temperature range. For example on page 83 of the PRO-141FD manual it says the operating temperature of the plasma is between +32F to +104F with less then 85%RH humidity when the cooling vents are not blocked. When and if the Pioneer PRO-141FD internal temperature reaches a certain temperature the internal fans will turn on (most likely when the surrounding temperature gets around 100 degrees the internal fans would turn on to keep the display cool).
On page 80 of the manual it says "When the surrounding environmental or internal temperature exceeds a certain degree, the display automatically powers off in order to cool the internal electronics and prevent a hazardous situation." It is good to know that if the temperature gets too warm the Pioneer will automatically turn off as a self protection. Some people must use the Pioneer in a factory or outdoors and the 104F degree operating temperature is an important feature. The 32F is the lowest operating temperature. I know the Pioneer was made for only indoor use and should never be used outdoors, but I was just surprised how will built this plasma is since it was designed to be operated between 32F to 104F with less than 85% humidity. Quote from page 83 of manual of PRO-141FD "Operating Environment" "Operating environment temperature and humidity:+0 ºC to +40 ºC (+32 ºF to +104 ºF); less than 85 %RH (cooling vents not blocked)" Last edited by HDTV1080P; 06-01-2009 at 06:10 PM. |

If you are happy with your TV, keep it. If you want one of the best displays money can buy, get the 5020. The 9G Pioneers are great displays & will impress you every time you turn it on.

I really want one, my Sharp has slight banding that kind of bugs still to this day but I'm happy still with it. I just know I would love the 5020 so, so much more. I'm going to check it out tomorrow at FutureShop, is there anything I should look for when I check the panels condition, like something specific. I read that some of them buzz but I'll remember to listen for that.
