It's more like Green Lantern remake (srsly, there are just too many similiarities) with Batman Begins, Iron Man and Inception elements added to the mix.

I like the character and Cumberbatch is great in the role (especially in T:R and IW), but the solo movie... not so much.

That only works if Strange opens a portal and Thanos is dumb enough to actually reach his left hand into it.

He can move the portal towards an object. Remember Loki coming after him in Thor 3?

He could have opened the portal near his hand, moved his arm through it and shut it. Game over.

Ah yeah, good point. But with four Infinity Stones by then, who knows if/how Thanos could've prevented that.

To be honest they never should've even been fighting him on Titan, they should've come back to Earth and regrouped with everyone else in Wakanda. People can blame Star-Lord all they want (and he deserves it), but Tony doomed them the moment he convinced Strange to go to Titan.

When they had him trapped on Titan, Spiderman should have taken over the right arm.... and strange could walk right over to his left and do his magic trick.

The big problem is that they should have never shown it happen to the other bad guy because it creates a plot hole.

I actually really enjoy the movie.... but some of the writing is suspect.

Edit - I agree about getting away from titan. Bringing the fight to thanos was something a 5 year old would think up. Not super smart super heroes like Stark and Strange.

IIRC Strange was using his magic... ropes or whatever to hold Thanos down. If only Wong had come with him, then they'd have two wizards lol (and FWIW, it was Wong that chopped off the other one's arm at the beginning, not Strange).
