Yeah, you always hear about the dangers of what alcohol can do to your health, but a lot of people I know are still okay. Hell, Michael Caine and Adam West use to drink heavily everyday and those two made it passed 80. Even Harrison Ford still drinks (probably not everyday, but still). So I'm guessing the health risk of drinking is there, but a lot lower than what a lot of people make it out to be.

Just saw it. It looked absolutely amazing. If Deakins doesn't get that Oscar... Story wise it's not up to par with the original, but it was an interesting one nonetheless. Acting was great. The movie took a little too long to get to the point though. I've read that some didn't feel like the movie lasts 161 minutes, but I sure did. Especially the middle part of the movie takes it sweet time. Things we've already learned in the first one. I liked Jaret Leto's role, but it's is too short to really make an impact. Sylvia Hoeks was a menacing antogonist. The overall feel I have of this movie is that, even though the movie is almost three hours long, it feels less fleshed out than the original, less ambigious. Oh, the music (if you can call it that) was extremely underwhelming. It sounded like a bunch of random loud noises thrown together. Only at the end I heard something that somewhat resembled something Vangelis-esque. Vangelis's jazzy electronic music wouldn't have worked with a movie like this, but damn, what we do get is hugely disappointing. I'm really curious about Jóhann Jóhannsson's rejected score. 8,5 for now, but I need to watch it again.

That's the perfect definition of some of the best films ever made. Time will tell, just like the original 1982 Ridley Scott's original Blade Runner.

BTW for those curious about the Bee scene, ehre is Denis V narrating it and explaining the thought process for it
I still stand by my logic that Deckerd was using Bees to make moonshine. He joked to K that he had millions of bottles of Whiskey, and you need a lot of honey to make some whiskey. |

Yeah, but none of the ones with Dolby Atmos or IMAX. Most of the 2D showings are also smaller screens and/or in the early afternoon. I've never been to a movie twice in cinemas before, but maybe I'll go see it again in Atmos/3D if I like it.

Honestly, box office interests me less than almost anything. And that applies to all films. It's so uninteresting. |

But my theory is that someone had to Brewster's Millions a ton of money away with no return and that's how we got a $200 million 3 hour long Blade Runner sequel that is somehow more slow going than the original.

Just got back from Dolby Cinema at AMC. The whole experience from the film to the theater itself was just too good for words. The first film is one of my top 10 of all time, and I simply could not have asked for more with this.
