Tested this a few days ago with the new AMC that’s under 1 mile from me, and it worked no problem from my home for Death Wish. I cancelled the check-in though since I wasn’t really going to see any movies that day.

They're changing the game and within a few more years, they'll have a total stranglehold on the market. Theaters will soon be forced to bow down to them; the leverage MP's currently holstering is massive. And it'll only get stronger.
MP will be out of business within 2 years. They have no leverage.

You do realize how much they've grown, right? If they can keep climbing in their already rapidly-increasing numbers (like five or six million total within a year), I honestly don't believe that their extinction will be imminent. They'll flourish and then dominate.

MoviePass will raise their prices sooner than we think.

And I'm ok with that. They're creating a huge market that didn't exist before, and the market will adjust and MoviePass will adjust with the market. Anyone who thinks this concept is dead when MoviePass is done doesn't understand supply and demand. Sure it won't be $9.99 forever, but MoviePass has already established itself as a brand nationally. It will either get bought out or raise prices to be more sustainable, and it will still have customers like myself who would have gladly paid 30-40+ dollars for it if I had known about it.

I'm pretty sure the employees who were let go before bankruptcy, let go during bankruptcy, and let go after KMart saved them were besides themselves. Its not like the company is just going to give these employees a head start on looking for new work. Being fired sounds like a real reason.

There are also the malls that relied on Sears being an anchor store to help drive business. Again, no real loss there.

Re-read my post. I said “for no real reason,” implying those laid off by said company, don’t apply. I’m guessing you knew that tho.

Unless you're talking about Sears Canada, Sears hasn't gone bankrupt, yet.

Hmm, twice already I have used MP this week and haven't been prompted to upload anything. Keeping my stubs just in case.

If you didn't get an email to upload a pic, you don't need to do it.

Exactly, like the Red Sparrow blockages, this is them trying new things for select users/markets as a test. If/when it becomes required for all users, there will be an email or some sort of in-app update for it.

If you need to upload a stub, it will notify you of that within the app as soon as you check in, and will prompt you to take a pic then and there. Until you do, you will not be able to check in for another movie.

If you didn't get said prompt, there's no need to hang onto your stub if you don't want to.

I found it funny how over last weekend Red Sparrow was blocked. But ever since Monday it's been good to go. "Glitch"

I got an email from them saying they weren't able to charge me for next month, but my credit card is fine... it gives me an error when I put my credit card info again. I tried contacting them through the app and twitter and nothing. Has this happened to anyone here?

I got the same message a few months ago, but when I entered my payment information again it seemed to take care of it. But they never sent me a confirmation email telling me that my payment was accepted or that my payment information was updated.
