I thought he was a has-been film director? I think that wrestling is/was his true calling but he can't get into it professionally so he's taken on this persona as a larger-than-life character as wish fulfillment. That's my impression, anyway.

"With a ten minute time limit" lol

I'm sure Demon Dave would have wanted to announce this himself but alas,

All-new label Dark Force UK will be launching in May with a release of CHAOS with SoaWN as a bonus DVD.

Dave will continue to run things here and has appointed Bobbi Young as head of the UK division.

Watched "Soawn" on youtube last night and won't be buying this stinker at all, it's what I will be doing from this point on, no more blind buys from CR. Those unfortunate souls who are paying top Dollar on eBay are being asked to touch their toes.

I have an important question... when taking a shower, does Bill take his banana suit off?

Yeah, but these are Blu-rays. This over the top nonsense doesn't make we want to buy their Blu-rays. Good movies, good quality, good packaging and good presentations is what gets my money and attention. Do you see Arrow Video doing this? No. Why? Because they don't have to. DeFalco should focus his energy on making better releases. Judging by the number of followers on his Facebook page, I'd say these "stunts" aren't working.

Again, I feel bad for Bill. It really feels like he's being demoralized and taken advantage of here. Code Red was around long before Dark Force and now he's playing second banana. It's just my opinion. If this makes you want to buy his stuff, then enjoy the show.

I've heard a UK label has Screams of a Winter Night.

Boycott this one and wait a couple months for that one, which will be easy to obtain without all the limited sales tactic nonsense. Easy work.

I don't mean boycott in a troll kind of way either. You can't defend any business that won't make their product readily available to customers that want to buy it, so they don't deserve the sales. Give your money to a company that makes their product readily available. Simple as that my friends.

As you were, gentlemen.

Spot on. I enjoy wrestling myself and hold no grudges towards Dave or Bill. Could easily knock back a few cold ones with them I reckon.

Like many, I was looking forward to SOAWN months ago. When it was announced, I thought great, will buy that when it becomes available. Waited a while which happens. In the mean time, also learnt that a UK label is supposed to be releasing it too. I thought 'whoever releases it first will get my cash more than likely'.

Fast forward to this weekend and SOAWN has been made available and unavailable in the space of 24 hours. I was left unable to buy it.

Not going to complain or threaten to not buy another DF/CR title. Im just simply not buying SOAWN from them. I'll wait for the UK release. They had the chance to take my money and other customers money and they chose not to with all the sales tactics nonsense. That is their business choice and good luck to them.

If they release another title I want and make it available to me, I will buy it. If they pull another SOAWN, then it is another lost sale for them. Simple as that for me.

That is my view on it anyway. Hopefully it is a good seller for them but my sale won't be counting towards it.

Back to some boobies and beer for me. Have fun.

"Banana suit" would be a fine euphemism for a man's birthday suit.

One reason I'm hesitant to buy into the "wrestling" circus marketing, is that there could be more behind the story than we know. Bill's brother Walt had voiced some disdain for the situation, and I can't help but notice how remarkably quiet he has been throughout all of this.

IMO from my observation Walt was trying to help Code Red be more like Scorpion business model, but Bill didn't like it and went back to old Code Red business model through Dark Force which likely frustrated Walt. No idea if there was any financial ramifications of this for Walt as well, but I know Bill had to meet contractual obligations for Ronin long after he bailed on it. In the end we will likely never know the whole story.

There was an update from Dark Force, boiling down to, DD is shipping out orders as quickly as possible so that he can get the DF store back up.

Translation: If you ordered, get ready to get it. If you didn't order, get ready for more copies going up.

I did receive emails this evening from both Dark Force and Paypal that my order has been completed and shipped, so hopefully more copies will be up soon for everyone who didn’t get one the first time around.

Mine was a three item order, so I expect it to ship down the line but he really is working hard to get all of those orders out and, my guess is, he'll have more of SoaWN up either in a day or this coming weekend, depending on how long it takes to physically get them.

That fourth arc really sold people on getting it, which I think everyone kind of knew, going in, but I was surprised at how fast 225 sold. I can't imagine what Bill and DD were thinking as that happened. A combination of joy and horror, possibly.

Wow... All this bulls&it for this release.. I thumbed through the posts since the fiasco began and I agree with noir, I'm done with CR until Bill figures it out. His brother is hitting a bunch of home runs and Bill is not even in the stadium. It's too bad what has happened to CR. Used to be a fun label with some comedy and a little drama here and there. Now because of the morons at DF, it's become a sh@tshow.. The worse part about it, is besides this release, I don't think there is anything coming out from CR in the near future. A big 180 from a short time ago, when Bill used to put out a lot of good titles at fair prices. His shipping sucked, but that was part of the draw. Now the shipping is better, but no titles....

I know they seem one in the same, but isn't that coming from DF and not Bill's catalog of goodies he doesn't want to upgrade?

DD posted another update. He will be visiting Bill in the hospital later. Here's hoping he's on the mend. He also posted a clip of a conversation he had with ADClay about Batista.
