The Abyss has an amazing score.

Well I don't know how a 3D transfer is made but I guess it has to be "new" to even be made and that don't need to mean they did something positive with it. But I also hope!

Check out the "One Ugly Mother...... T shirt. That's the real collector's item.
Also note the reference to promotional glasses, implying that the JVC showing the clips was a passive display:

Here's a good look at the 3D clips playing in the background (in 2D) behind the booth predator:

Perhaps they will include the Predator clips on a Fox 3DBD release over the next couple of months. Epic is due out in 3 weeks, but that is PG, so I doubt they will use that to promote it.

You can't really tell how it looks in that video.

It's the angle of the TV making it look blue.

Blue's always been a really popular colour choice.

Can't tell if it's a Sony or Samsung. Neither would surprise me.

It is a JVC, probably passive, since they gave away promotional 3D glasses. No chance they would give away active glasses. Passive glasses are about $1.50 vs $60-80 for active.

What is frustrating is that everyone was caught up in the figurines and collectible head, only Fred Topel at craveonline thought to comment on the quality of the 3D clips.

There is something more involved than the angle of the shot. I have a Sony Bravia and I am looking at the same scene on the UHE as I type. The angle of the shot looks to be around 170 degrees. There is no color variation whatsoever on my display. I looked at the 2008 release with the same result. no blue cast. There is either an issue with the passive display in the booth at that angle or ambient light in the booth or perhaps the camera setting.

Check the CNET 404 video posted a few pages back for a better angle at :25, same blue tint. On the UHE that is at 1:35:48 (Ch 22). https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...&postcount=163

Guys, the white balance of the LED TV is not the same as the lights in the SDCC auditorium. The cameras obviously are balanced for the overhead lights. Don't get started on a "PREDATOR IS TINTED BLUE" debate already.

Lol. "The Predator's thermal vision is blue...... Oh wait, umm nevermind".

Let's wait for proper screencaps and reviews first before we jump to any conclusions.

United Kingdom Predator 3D UK release

It looks like it includes a 2D version and 3D version on separate discs.

Sorry, but no. Check the I, Robot listing, look at the number of disks: one.
3D Blu-ray+Blu-ray means 3D/2D same disk.

It doesn't mean anything, other than the package has both a 3D and a 2D version.
