Didn’t get to play as much as I’d have liked today, but absolutely loved what I’ve played so far! Quitting for the night after beating the second boss (Corrupter).
Enjoying exploring more than I thought as even in these earlier areas there’s lots of upgrade mats, bodies with little lore dumps etc. to find. Already found enough cores for 1 health and 1 beta meter upgrade. Parrying feels a lot better with the patch that reduced the input lag too. Looking forward to playing more this weekend. Have a feeling I’ll be bouncing between this and Helldivers 2 for a long while. |

Just beat Corruptor as well. Didn't really feel like a boss fight (it was easier than Abaddon), more like a Dozer with a larger health bar, but far more forgiving parry windows. Perhaps this is a result of all the grinding I did in the demo (though I still need to upgrade my Beta skills, and am still short a third Omnibolt).
So far, I am really enjoying this game. Even the vanilla platforming is rewarding due to all the extra stuff it helps me find. I suspect people would be a tad more forgiving of the narrative had it shown Eve and Adam getting to know each other, rather than hand waving their alliance after skipping to them already working together. Sure, I can already guess where the story is headed and, no, Nier Automata wasn't the first to tread such ground. Both these games and others like it stand on the shoulders of classic sci-fi books, comics, and movies. That doesn't make it automatically bad. However, it certainly doesn't seem by any means great either. It's just a good basic skeleton to prop up the gameplay. As for the voice acting, it's bland but serviceable. If people really think the acting here is objectively bad, they need to play Shadow Hearts. ![]() |

Anywhoo, good news. When you do missions for Kaya in Xion she eventually gives you the option to buy all 3 polymers at her shop. (Note could also be because I have been doing tons of mini/side quests for Xion.) Just in case, I stocked up. ![]() So far this is what is needed to craft 1 Nanosuit. Polymer x 75 Advanced Polymer x 50 Extreme Polymer x 25 |

I only played maybe 20 mins of the demo and stopped because I liked it and wanted to wait. Played for about 2 hours this morning and am really into it. I kind of hate the music though. I feel like the same song is on repeat. Only thing I don’t like.

You can change the song at camp using the record player. |

I feel the same way. The music is bland and repetitive. Even the few different tracks I've heard thus far sound like lightly remixed versions of the main track. I don't get the praise for the music at all.

I saw. I would just prefer a score and not songs which are very repetitive. I actually went in the options and turned the music down to 50%. Drowns it out a little. Tried at 0%, but it was weird and didn’t seem right.

Ah, okay. I'm not there yet, and thought he meant you could buy polymer from the camp vending machines.
Yes, but that only affects the songs you hear while at the camps. As you explore the game areas, there is a samey feel to the music overall. It just feels like you're stuck with a CD on a loop. It also doesn't help that the music just feels so blah, and doesn't really sell the world. At best, it's white noise for me. Last edited by RocShemp; 04-27-2024 at 01:54 PM. |

Speaking of the Wastelands, that is where I first noticed that if you change the music at the camp, it changes the music for the map. Not sure if this is the case for other areas, but definitely the case for the Wastelands. |

It's really great to see you all enjoying the game. Gives me hope to grab it myself down the line but i just bought AC6 which needs to be finished too.
Quick question for those of you like @Derb who spent a considerable amount of time farming the demo to transfer the save. Sorry if already answered but exactly how much of a head start did all that playtime give you with regards to levelling up, SP etc.? |

I know it's not popular to say, but i honestly prefer being OP for an entire game with a little challenge. So if there was a glitch/XP thing to do, i'm going for it. |
