They have done a distribution deal with someone in Germany, so if they ever pull out of the UK, would just buy from Amazon Germany. They would probably have a deal here in the U.K. also though.

With the proliferation of capture software makes one wonder of the studios will insist on all the FBI warnings be placed on the start of a movie stream and be unskippable.

Just a word of advice; you should never provide direct links to such software. It can get you in trouble here.

I think I prefer this version of MOM to the Criterion. Doesn't have the green/dark color shift and retains 7.1 audio, but all the menus are in Korean so just kind of have to poke around to get to the movie.

I also have MoM from Korea on BD.

Only did so as proof that it existed so the anti-disc folks could not accuse me of making stuff up.

The last title from my previous order has arrived and it is a title that I have never seen:

It looked like a safe bet.

Still the best Shark in a Supermarket movie.

Just got back from Barbie and it was kind of crazy. The movie started on time on the dot and even sold out the theater was half empty because everyone was in concession line. People couldn't find the seats which I thought was strange because you choose you seats when you buy the ticket and they are numbered so it's also simple to figure out.

The screen was just dirty. I think someone threw soda at it. The masking was off on one side and grommets were showing. Ceiling still white.

My local theater is kind of junky.

Japan is not included.

The Digital Bits have confirmed today with multiple industry, distributor, and retailer sources in the region that Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is indeed pulling out of the Australian market in terms of physical media. This follows similar moves in Asia (save for Japan) and Latin America, and the reason is apparently down to the gradual collapse of physical disc sales in the region, the growth of Disney+ Starz streaming, and also the rise of global retailers (think Amazon, Zavvi, etc).

Sorry you had a poor experience.

Yeah, Bait is the finest Shark in a supermarket flick I have ever seen also!

Visited 4 Target stores today (trying to find some athletic clothing - not found).

I checked out the UHD/Blu-ray/DVD sections in all 4 - it seems to me that there were more DVDs than before - things like all 4 Indiana Jones DVD movies, 4 Lethal Weapon DVD movies, a 7 DVD movie collection as part of the 100 year WB anniversary, for example.

Think it's the economy causing a resurgence in the DVD format?

I think it is that discount stores know what their discount shoppers like to buy, namely lower priced products such as DVDs and $500 TVs.

I doubt discount shoppers are spending $500 on a TV. Budget 50"-60" TVs are readily available for $200-$300.

Depends on the circumstances. Everyone wants one that's just a little over budget so there's something for everyone.

Was still worth doing. My local theater is the pitts but unless I apply as manager it simply is what it is. I'm glad it was cheaper because it was a before 6PM show. It's really a dollar theater pretending to be a real one because there's simply nothing else anywhere near by.

Saw it several years ago on HBO, undecided on purchase. Have Sling Blade and some other Billy Bob Thornton movies.

Watched Transformers: Rise of the Beasts on P+ and it was mediocre. I still think Bumblebee is the best Transformers film.

What I really enjoyed, even though it's dark and bleak, is "Lioness: Special Ops," which is also on P+ (first two episodes). It's Taylor Sheridan's new series. It's taken hold.

I received a copy of Gerard Butler's new film "Kandahar" on BD, so will probably dig into that today or tomorrow.

So, how do you guys think the Disney situation will play out in Australia? Will they find a distributor?
