That's very odd, as Warner only distributes the film on video. They don't own it, they didn't release it theatrically (Fox did)...but they do handle Morgan Creek's back catalog. I guess Morgan Creek really doesn't do much of anything these days -- they must let Warner call the shots for them.

Fundamentally there shouldn't be any difference in terms of the "cabal footage" or the theatrical cut -- Morgan Creek owns all of it.

Look at the sellers other items that they're trying to sell.

$120 for the Leprechaun set
$250 for the Deluxe Halloween collection
$200 for the Ghostbusters gift set

Also looks like they buy every Twilight Time release so they can sell them off at inflated prices once they sell out.

Look at all of their items, both listed and sold.

There will be don't worry. 5,000 copies with the price it is at now there should be plenty enough to go around.

Buying the LE, will overspend on this one. Worth it to have both versions.

I wonder if the director's cut actually deletes some scenes. Barker didn't want the family murdered scene that was added later on by studio wanting it to be more like a slasher movie.

Who is trashing Shout factory? I own a ton of their releases and am glad that they are putting this out on Blu. BUT this thread doesn't have to be all rainbows and sunshine and people jumping up and down hi fiving about spending 80 bucks on a movie. Why can't people express their concern about the high price and talk about what exactly went into this release to deserve such a high price point? Thanks for the suggestions though...

I wasn't speaking to you directly. There is a difference between expressing concerns and discussing the price and value compared to practically calling them greedy, thieving extortionists. Go back and re-read some of the comments. But whatever...

No need for the theatrical cut here although I'm glad it's included for others, but the bonus disc should have been a part of both releases. 80 dollars my ass, I'll be buying the regular combo pack.

When it is all said and done I will still most likely end up shelling out the 80 bucks just because Nightbreed is one of my fav horror movies. My fav t shirt is my Fright-rags Nightbreed shirt.

What if scenes are cut out like I was discussing?

Sure, If I was rich & would receive the Bluray set immediately then I might consider buying it plus it would also have to come with a little more swag like a hard back version of the original novel signed & the movies soundtrack all in a metal case or something a bit more collectible & also include a money back guarantee.

Well you could read some of the reviews online people have given for the Cabal Cut if you don't mind knowing before watching. I don't know if anything is deleted but I do remember reading some scenes were changed including the ending.

Yeah but I am saying that should give you an idea of what you are in store for or what maybe to expect considering they talk about the new scenes. Not sure what other source you could go off of.

I was wondering the same thing. I ordered it earlier today. Check my bank account and I've already been charged.
