I have picked Lee from day 1 to win this and he was always my favorite. I would buy his record today if he had one out. Casey is gone tomorrow night as I said he is out of his league at this point. Crystal will give Lee a bit of a run for the title but Lee is just on anotha level and is a platinum artist in waiting! Got Em!!

Paula Abdul will return along with former contestants for a special sendoff for Simon Cowell on Wednesday’s American Idol finale, reports People. Ooh, this is just like Kate Gosselin returning for Tuesday’s Dancing With the Stars finale, except Paula is generally adored, relevant to the show at hand, and talented. Christina Aguilera will be there, too, but Fox is keeping quiet about who else will appear on Wednesday’s season 9 finale. What we do know: Crystal Bowersox or Lee DeWyze will be named the winner and Simon will halfheartedly wave goodbye to TV for over a year after being booed for the last time by Randy Jackson. (Simon’s U.S. version of X-Factor is slated for fall 2011.)

Is anyone else dying for Paula to get up and dance during the finale, preferably in her aerobic dance video outfit? It’s so beautiful. I’d like to see a Paula/Ellen/Kara dance-off to a techno remix of the American Idol theme song that has like two notes in it. Alternatively, Paula could just be sitting between Randy and Simon as the show opens, like we’ve stumbled upon some creepy sideways world. “Guys, where are we?” she’d drawl. You’ve seen Lost. Anything is possible.

Will you be glad to see Paula return? Perhaps she’ll get cozy enough to stay ’til next spring…

No doubt "Pants on the Ground" guy will be back for the finale. I hope Lee wins, I think he has gotten better and better. Funny, during Hollywood week, i remember thinking Crystal was really good, and Lee Dewyze sounded like a good name for a celebrity. I thought Lee started out a bit average, but got better and better each week. I think Crystal started out fantastic and stayed about the same. Her sound got a bit old for me, but definitely second best out of the whole top 10. Casey was really lucky to get where he did. Should have gone weeks ago!

The Finale: Part 1

First Song: Contestant's Favorite Song

Lee - Just like when he first sang it....good but not spectacular.

Crystal - Also like before...she's channeling Janis....awesome performance!


Second Song: Producer's Pick

Lee - I just realized he looks like "Chris Penn as a rockstar", pretty good job, the arrangement was a little flat.

Third Song: Winner's Single

Lee - He's doing a cover as his single? It sounded like karaoke....it was missing that energy that Bono puts into it.

Crystal - Also a cover...and BEST SONG OF THE NIGHT!

Overall - I believe Lee will probably outsell David Cook but Crystal WILL win!

Lee - Good, but I don't like that song and wished he had picked something else that he could have done better with. He didn't do that great with the first time he sang it as well.

Crystal - Hated it just like the first time she sang it.



Second Song

Lee - Agree with Randy, definitely better than the first song. Very good...but not great like it should be tonight.

Crystal - Another .... I hate her singing voice, its very to me.




Third Song

Lee - Good. The song sucked though.

Crystal - Her voice isn't as annoying in a slow song...but still annoying
