That I don’t know.

Heh. I could’ve sworn that Laura Dern grabbing the leaf while the jeep is being driven was in the print I saw all those years ago, but now I know it’s just my memory mashing that shot from the trailer into the movie. Jurassic Park: messing with your memories since 1993

Got my set today... was surprised since I hadn't seen this before to see that it was a 4K case and then a Blu-ray case... so if you were so inclined you could sell/give the Blu-ray set to someone else.

Thank you for putting a memory in my head I'm not sure existed now. inception

Re-watched TLW, does anybody else feel it sounds way too much like a remix? The front sound stage has a more analogue sound to it while a lot of the effects in the rears have a clear/artificial digital clearness to them. It's a shame they didn't include the original mix so I could compare them.

Does anyone know if the theatrical mix is available online like the first JP?

Lol, the t rex roaring and rattling on my LD was just room rattling, and I've never been able to match it with newer formats. And that was with just two speakers, albeit very big ones.

I've got the DTS version on LD and the sound is freaking phenomenal.

I got this set yesterday at Sunrise Records for cheaper than Amazon, strangely.
I'm looking forward to the T-Rex scene in Jurassic Park very, very much. That scene blew me away way back when and I hope it's great on this 4K disc.

*edit
I posted in the wrong thread. I got the 5 disc set, not this 4 disc one.

The LD DTS track simply cooked the audio levels to the point that it distorts a plenty but LOUDER is GUUDER!

I wonder how the audio on Jurassic Park is? On the T-Rex scene specifically?
Will dogs in my neighbourhood be freaked out?
I guess I'll find out this evening.

I really wish I could just buy the first film on its own. Missed out on the Zaavi solo steel release.

Yeah brutal. It's out solo in Europe but by the time you pay shipping and import fees it's not worth it.

I guess just wait for a sale on the box set..

Amazon had the 25th Anniversary set with the first 4 films for $19.99 last Black Friday.

I don't care about III or the new ones, I only wanted the Spielberg films on UHD, and $10 each was fair.

I just recently got the set and have watched the first three. I was blown away by the first one! Looked amazing. BUT...the second and third movies did not have the same wow factor. IMO. I felt they were soft and not as detailed as the first one.

I think the The Lost World looked the best to me personally out of the original trilogy. JP1 is ok (not as bad as T2 and not as good as The Mummy) but I think could use a better transfer. It's definitely better than the original blu-ray release and the 3D release. Maybe we'll get a new edition for the 30th anniversary in 2023?

I just picked this collection up as well and was very impressed with JP1, despite all the criticisms I had heard. I plan on checking out TLW tonight, but I hear that one looks the best (of the original 3 anyway).
