For some people it's just not worth the effort to leave the house and sit with a bunch of strangers with a high chance of some or most of them being obnoxious. Not to mention, it's cheaper to rent a movie than go to the theater. My wife and I think it looks like an interesting movie but I'm waiting to see it in the theater on it's second weekend. you mean even if it comes back with 80% good reviews, and this forum stars shitting itself over how great it was, you won't go see it in the theater "on principle?"

I don't want to contribute to it's opening weekend BO. Regardless if it's a good sci-fi movie, it's a fairly bad adaptation that was made solely as a rights grab by Fox.

Deserved or not, opening weekend grosses get a lot of attention and can play a large part in a movie's perceived success or failure. It doesn't seem that odd that somebody might want to see a movie without adding to its opening weekend gross.

Hell, I'm actually tempted to go the other way. I haven't seen the inside of a theater in decades but I'm tempted to order a ticket for this online and add to the opening gross whether I show up or not.

Is that petty? I dunno, maybe.

But what's life without indulgence?

Is everybody just willfully forgetting that the pictures from the comics etc. that you're posting are him wearing a METAL MASK AND ARMOR?

The pic from the trailer he is clearly NOT wearing those things, and I'm sure that there's a reason he's not, and it does not preclude him from wearing it sometime by the end of the film.

And why the fck it has exactly the same runtime with 2005 version?

Must be some sort of conspiracy. No two movies are allowed to have the same runtime. Maybe they really are trying to eliminate the '05 version for existance.
