I had to turn it off.... I was being stalked and hounded by my washing machine.

Someone else recently found his appliances were using 3GB of data per day for who knows what. I will go look that up and link the article.

"Your washing machine could be sending 3.7 GB of data a day — LG washing machine owner disconnected his device from Wi-Fi after noticing excessive outgoing daily data traffic"

I am getting more "old fashioned" by the minute these days. Time to go yell at some clouds.

Hope toilets are not next!

I’m hearing a lot about this film. I may have to visit the dark side if it’s not getting a disc release.

That one fact is worth every penny disc wise, before I even get started on AV, etc..
Peace of mind is as illusory as control... again..IMHO.

My daughter and I both enjoyed it quite a bit... there are comparisons to other films that I could make... but it would spoil this one to name them.

Peace of mind knowing I can enjoy it again in the coming year, without worrying about it switching services or becoming unavailable because some gen Z folk got upset about something.

Then again, WW3 could break out this year, so………treasure every single frame of films and treasure good times with the family.

I know what you are saying, there always seems to be something around the corner, be it on a world wide stage or in one’s personal life.

I long for the care feee days of childhood. Boy, we’re they magical.

Australia? That’s surprises me.

I loved the new reboot of Wentworth, pretty good Australian show.

I've chided you in the past about what I've sometimes perceived as a kind of nihilistic point of view...I don't know about WW3, but I've recently been struck by the idea, that a year from now, none of us will be giving much of a thought about whether or not our collections are reviewable or not...
It's spurred me to plan the big trip across the pond with the family this summer... I've convinced the wife that we need only spend a weekend in Manchester.. we'll do the tour of the cobbles and visit Old Trafford...

A couple of years ago, I celebrated a Rosh Hashanah seder seated next Geddy Lee from the band RUSH at the place of a mutual acquaintance. We took a few pictures together and I texted them to my buddy who fancies himself the biggest RUSH fan in the world. I had no idea how crazy that would make him knowing that I could either take them or leave them..LOL..

It turns out that this same friend is a huge MAN U fan as well...I don't know what he'll do when I text him pictures outside of the venue that his favourite SOCCER team plays out of....

Don’t worry, I have been chided by a few in my time.

Maybe it is because we are getting old, but an impending sense of doom isn’t a great thing to carry. I am trying to be more hopeful and maybe 2024 will pass off without the catastrophe we fear.

I do hope you enjoy that break, although I have no love for Man U!

Have been to their ground twice, it’s a very nice ground to be fair. I will give them that.

Sadly, given our exodus from premier league, it’s been a while since we played them.

If I were you, I'd take pictures of the Man City stadium just to wind up your friend and tell him you were told this is the better team and venue in Manchester.

It looks like one user who was posting in these forums was removed from this website by a user, who is well-known for playing an instrument, for talking about a certain disease from the last few years, and taking it seriously. This was deemed "political." Hopefully they learned their lesson. Coincidently, I have joined the forums.

This is why I've redoubled my efforts to see films in the cinema because there is no guarantee of a disc release these days. Saw Saltburn, The Killer, Bottoms, Theatre Camp, Society of the Snow in the last few months and none are getting disc releases as far as I know. Annoyingly, it has nothing to do with popularity and everything to do with the ridiculous business strategies these companies are taking. Amazon, I'm not giving you my money if I can help it.

Rush has been my favorite band since I was a sophomore in High School, many moons ago. I was fortunate enough to see them in concert 7 times over the years. That's awesome you got a picture with Geddy.

I've joked for years that I'm an optimistic pessimist: the world sucks but it could get better. But like you, as I get older I am trying to be more positive about things. Or at the very least only worry about the things I can control and let go of the things I can't.

My older family members reckon I shouldn’t be so pessimistic as I’m not even 50 yet!

Doesn’t fill me with hope for when I get there!
