I will 100% defer questions about previous transfers to people who are more familiar with them, lol. I saw this on TV a lot as a kid but I am not at all familiar with the home video releases. All I can say is I liked this release a lot.

I'm thinking nearly everyone is coming from either a DVD or VHS copy so even if parts are rough it still will be a major upgrade. A few of us have the Aussie blu-ray and I'm pretty sure it will be a nice upgrade, too.

Just want to confirm that there will be both the digitally 'enhanced' version along with the original? That would be on both 4k disc and the 1080 disc? And both are 4k scanned?

Im a little confused here cause im buying this for the 1080 disc.

From what I’ve read on this thread, the 4K disc will be the theatrical film, the Blu-ray will have both the theatrical and the one with updated special effects.

I'm late to 4K collecting, gosh I so remember this movie. I see this was released exclusive to Vinegar, do you think they add more copies back up for cancelled orders?

It hasn't sold out. Will be available again once their website reopens
