Might support a thesis that it had an oddball multichannel mix that was encoded to DD for DVD. Also, when did distributors stop caring about precisely describing what the 2.0 mix is on the packaging??? |

Best: On Her Majesty's Secret Service
Worst: Spectre I've decided that Spectre is the worst in the series. The opening is great, and it's intermittently entertaining, but I'd still take Diamonds and Skyfall over it. Skyfall is more consistent, I guess? Spectre really butchered Blofeld and wasted Waltz. |

The print I saw was definitely mono. Perhaps a 4-track mag version existed, but I’ve never heard about one. I think the “Dolby Surround” 2.0 mix on the Blu was a home video remix mistakenly placed on there as original audio.

Best: On Her Majesty's Secret Service
Worst: Skyfall I'm not trolling, I don't dislike Skyfall, but I find the first half to be a slog and there's just something kinda smug about the writing in it, like it's ashamed to be a Bond film. It's unfortunate because I thought Daniel Creg's run was brilliant otherwise (Quantum of Solace innocent). |

One of the main reasons I was hoping for a box set of all 25 films is so that I could watch them all again in 4k and put together a new ranking. Last time, Diamonds Are Forever was at the bottom and From Russia with Love was at the top.
I'm generally a big fan of Craig's run, apart from Spectre - there's a lot I like about it, but Brofeld was unforgivable. I liked No Time to Die despite the ending when it came out, but after what's happened with Barbara and Michael selling up, I think in retrospect it works brilliantly as a conclusion to the Eon Bond era. |

Didn't realize Skyfall had so many haters, top 5 Bond for me, From Russia With Love is my favorite.
Maybe Skyfall is the Nightmare on Elm St. Pt 2 of the franchise. |

Skyfall is shot by Deakins. It could’ve been Bond and Q sitting in that museum for 2 and a half hours and I’d still be on board.
Ok I may also just be crushing on Whishaw but the point stands. |

I can see the argument for it not being a great Bond movie in the Bond tradition, but I appreciated the analog ending and the fact it wasn't a "take over the world plot", just like From Russia With Love. SPECTRE's worst mistake for me was its [Show spoiler]
