Right now I am fed up and a little depressed with the fact that I am turning 18 in July and I have yet to have a girlfriend. It is all thanks to this hick town of 2000 people that I live in, almost everyone hates me here.

I know how you feel. But you can't let those people or how you're feeling get you down. If you still plan on doing what you told me before you'll be fine. It's not the end of the world, so don't worry about it man.

Yeah I know, it just really bothers me. I am still planning on going away to College in the Fall, which is the one thing I am looking forward to right now

. I can't wait to meet some people I can actually be friends with for once and hopefully at some point find a girlfriend.

I had the same problem where i used to let stuff bother me. But after a while I knew that was not doing me any good, and figured i needed to put all the stuff that was bothering me away. And focus on the stuff that mattered to me. if you feel college will be a better experience I wish you all the best. Maybe a change of scenery is what you really need. I know i do.

So just hang in there til the fall.

While it might not make you feel any better, I didn't get my first g/f or anything until I was 19. Had a couple other (non-noteworthy) relationships in college, but met my wife back in late 2007 (was 22), and we got married Oct. 2011.

When I was 18, I pretty much felt like I'd never have a g/f either. Then I went away for college and got to really feel happy about myself, who I was, and what I had ahead of me.

Just don't get too down. You never know what lies ahead.

That's a good idea, I'll try and not let this stuff bug me too much any more. I think a change of scenery will do me wonders, I hope you can get out of your situation soon too.

No problem, just trying to help out a fellow blu rayer in need. If you've lived your whole life there i'm sure that's what it is. I know that's what my thing is. Thanks, I'm trying whatever I can to fix that. So here's hoping for the best later on.

you're way too young to be worrying about having a gf. what you should be doing right now is figure out what you want to do in life and what's going to make you happy. if you're on some sort of a break at school, try to learn as many skills as possible and plan ahead so that in two years you know what career path to take. everything will come into place when you're happy with yourself and you know what kind of a future you would want to have. it's when you're secure about yourself and your future that you're also able to look for the right woman for you because it's not about forcing yourself to find a gf but about you looking for someone you truly want to love and have a great relationship with. good luck!

all you need is $$$ and you can do whatever you want, my friend! you can fly or enjoy the fun in driving. i'd go with you if i could but i'll probably bore you to death. ask some of your friends to have that road trip with you and share the expenses with them.

Why must people lie? This guy is trying to impress me with his "artwork" and it is painfully bad. He claims he does it for a living but I don't know who in their right mind would buy his stuff.
