I just hope these new releases contain remastered BDs too. I still don't have a 4k setup.

And Jeff Goldblum is in Part II.

My least favorite is definitely JPIII. It was nice to bring Grant back, but the other characters were annoying, and the movie just kind of plays out without much in the way of suspense, and then suddenly just ends.

I only kind of like the original so I might pick it up at some point.

Yeah, as to the question of whether we should play God and bring dinosaurs back to life, of course we should!

Doubt I could afford to go there, though. The blood-sucking lawyer would win out.

William H. Macy and Tea Leoni's characters were written like nails on a chalk board.

There was no working script when they started production and it shows in its slap dash "story."

The Spino creeping up on everyone except for a very audible cellphone in its stomach was pure comedy and not the "gold" kind.

That part was hilarious. I like how it's just standing there, waiting for them to turn around, like "Helloooo"

Almost as funny as the infamous "Alan!" moment.

I didn't care much for Jurassic Park III when I last saw it, BUT I'm chalking it up to me not being in the right mood at the time, because I liked the film quite a bit when I was a young'un.

Also, Tea Leoni yelling, "ERICCCCCC!" is a certified mood and I used to quote it when I was a school student.

Hahah I had that ringtone as well. Never cared for the film but it was great to have Alan Grant back. I think I enjoy it more than Fallen Kingdom.

JP, TLW, JW, III, Fallen Kingdom.

Are these new individual 4k discs remasters or recycled discs?

Do you seriously believe theres a chance you live in a reality where these are remasters?

I'll say this. It's a disposition I envy. Quaint AF

I honestly love JP3 more than LW. LW loses steam for me when they get back to San Diego. I usually turn it off then. The short runtime works in JP3’s favor; it’s a fast-paced action film (with dumb characters ). But it definitely lacks Spielberg’s finesse…in fairness Spielberg lacks his finesse in LW compared to JP

I remember when "Jurassic Park" came out in '93, I was 26 yrs old and a few buddies I hadn't seen since college were getting a group together to go see it opening weekend.

The line took up a good portion of the lobby and it spilled out onto the sidewalk in front of the theater. As it got closer to seating, there were 3-4 (ushers? not sure) speaking to peeps about 15 rows deep at a time asking if we knew what DTS sound was. Most had no clue.

They explained it was a new sound system technology being introduced with JP. At certain times the movie will get extremely loud and other times it will be much quieter. There's nothing wrong with the theater's sound system, this is what a movie presented in DTS is supposed sound like. So there's no need to approach any employee in the theater and ask them to fix the audio levels.

As we exited after the movie they were in the lobby again randomly asking if we liked the movie but seemed more interested in wanting to know what we thought about DTS. Anybody that stopped to chat with them were given a DTS promo gift bag, containing a key chain, magnet, pen, notepad and pin all with the DTS logo. I think I still have it buried in a closet somewhere.

Anyway, there were 7 of us and we all loved the film.

5 year old me remembers the sound. The first time the T-Rex stomps after some silence, it made me jump so bad that I threw my arms up, and my M&Ms flew out of their box at least 3 rows behind me.

Hopeful that maybe Universal might start releasing other titles individually now….? Would like to own The Mummy, MIB and BTTF without the accompanying dross that was the sequels.

Get the 3D disc and play it in forced 2D mode, there's your remastered BD. The 4K disc is nothing to write home about, a really lousy attempt by Universal.

Because I was 5 upon its original release my parents wouldn’t let me see it At least I can say the sound (and 3D) were incredible for the 20th anniversary IMAX re-release.
