Long Version: I wouldn't mind having a PS4, but I'm too poor to think about it right now, and I also have enough habits already without getting hooked on video games. The last gaming console I bought was a used Sega about 20 years ago. I'm not much of a "gamer" but I do have an addictive personality; If I bought a new console, I would probably play on it all the time. About 10 years ago, I had a room mate that had a PS2 and I ended up getting hardcore hooked on Madden and Gran Turismo 3.

Short version: No.

My kids play the PS3... too much. These new games are way over my head. Donkey Kong and cold beer. I ruled the arcade.

I just blind bought this today after work:



I love Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, and this has the same director and main actors, so it should be pretty fun. I watched Batman Begins and The Dark Knight a couple of days ago, so I'm going to finish off the trilogy with The Dark Knight Rises, then I'll check out The World's End.

How about a red eyed mayor?

Overall I really enjoyed it, but to me it wasn't quite up there with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. It might grow on me more with repeat viewings though. It was definitely different than anything I've ever seen before and kind of weird. It started a bit slow, but then got crazier as it went. It had quite a few laugh out loud moments too. Rotten Tomatoes gave Shaun and Hot Fuzz both 91% and The World's End 89%. I'd probably rate them about: Shaun-95% Hot Fuzz-91% and World's End-87%.

I just responded over in Wabo's thread. They were making fun of him on Jimmy Kimmel and then on Jimmy Fallon and that inspired me to goof around with my avatar. Needless to say, it won't stick around for too long. That is pretty funny that we both did it at about the same time.

Thanks for the review. I'll give it a rent. I watched Grown Ups 2 over the weekend. It had its moments. A decent rental. Definitely not worth owning.

Although World's End is quite different than Shaun or Hot Fuzz, I still think it's definitely worth a purchase. World's End has an 89% fresh rating and Grown Ups 2 has a 7% rotten rating. Not sure if I remember a movie rated that bad. I haven't seen either of the Grown Ups movies, and I probably never will.

Lol. Not sure if Grown Ups 2 deserves 7%... 10% is more like it. The first half was excruciating bad, to the point I almost turned it off. It's probably for the best you skip it. 89% for Worlds End? Does it come in a SB?
