Alabama beat a top 10 team and a top 15 team, Stanford hasn't. If they beat Oregon they will move past Bama.

A graduate assistant witnessed a full on rape of 10 year old in a school shower. The GA reported this, but it appears what he reported was "watered down" as the story made it's way up the chain of authority...

Sandusky’s charges include seven counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, one count of aggravated indecent assault, eight counts of unlawful contact with a minor, eight counts of endangering the welfare of a child, eight counts of corruption of minors, seven counts of indecent assault and one count of attempt to commit indecent assault.

Sandusky was taken into custody and released on $100,000 unsecured bail Saturday morning under Magisterial District Judge Leslie Dutchcot. Sandusky is set to appear at his preliminary hearing Nov. 9 at the Centre County Courthouse in Bellefonte, according to court documents. He has the legal right to waive this hearing.

Of course, what would make things easier for the state, is if Sandusky offs himself, while he's out on bail.

But, I say the guy is so sick, that he will seek a trial.

I doubt PSU will be punished on the field, but if any act deserves to be punished it should be this one. Sorry I know the players didn't do it, but everyone up there should be punished for this.

LSU(Les Miles?) also likes to occasionally decide to give away games. It could happen at the wrong time.

All I know is if the so-called "championship" game is LSU/Alabama then in my mind it doesn't count for the consecutive SEC championships, because college football will have conspired to not even give anyone else a chance.

I don't think it should be the Championship game. Granted if we got another 9-6 game in the SEC Championship game and then whoever won trounced the team in the championship, it would again make the case for it. But really don't have a problem with the rankings right now given how closely that game was played.

I've been listening to a lot of talk radio over the last 2 days and not a single college football writer I've heard believes Joe Paterno doesn't eventually lose his job over the current situation. Odds are it will end with Paterno saying he's choosing to retire but in reality he's going to get forced out.

I agree, I just don't see him equipped mentally to deal with what’s coming. And that’s not even taking into account what he probably knew or even if he didn't just knowing it MIGHT be going on and not doing anything he's a dirty old man too.

This is just ignorant. How many of the current players were in diapers when all this shit started with Sandusky?

No, the administrators need to fall on their respective swords, but the players shouldn't have to suffer for the administration's misdeeds.

Its been reported that he was working out with the team as recent as last week. And from the reports this was taking place up-until 2009, I hope they weren't in diapers then.

Nobody is saying the players are involved, but there needs to be a message sent on this type of institutional Oligarchy, if the school and teams get let off the hook everyone continues I can go about my business as long as kids aren't getting violated, where if the school and teams are held somewhat accountable for facilitating this kind of recklessness then again it will have a much deeper ramifications for all schools.

I agree. This isn't a situation where the team was paying players, this is completely separate from the football team. A lot of people should lose their jobs over this, including Joe Pa and the school president, as well as anyone with knowledge of the situation, but there's no reason to punish the team.

What would change then, if only a few people got cleaned out? This type of thing is rampant in big time sports maybe not to this extent, but this just shows how far it can go to protect a cash cow. And that needs to get brought up, because that’s why this got swept under the rug.

Nothing is going to be swept under the rug. There will be a full investigation and the guilty parties will be GONE. The players are NOT guilty of this scandal.

Yeah, Pat Forde of Yahoo said this morning on the Dan Patrick Show that he doesn't care what they said and that he's going to be asking questions about the allegations. If Penn State tries to make the press conference only about football it's going to go very badly and I could see a lot of the press walking out.

Paterno needs to go anyway. He's just been a puppet for the longest time. It's the assistants that coach that team. He knew this stuff was going on and didn't do all he could with the amount of power he has. He was loyal to Sandusky and that's where loyalty bites you in the rear end.
