Yeah, I don't care if the rep said "you seriously don't need to keep it anymore, we're sending the full package with two discs, you may as well burn the second disc and case you have now." I'd still keep it around. I can't see myself throwing away a good case, I may need to replace another movie's case.

That story about thowing out the original packaging is sad.

I have done some mail in stuff where they do send back a complete new disc in package and all that. I think the Fifth Element was the exchange that sent the whole disc with case and all. Most of the time they just send the corrected disc.

Anyways,.... You can get a new case... that's not much trouble.

I live just outside of Richmond, VA and received mine this morning. Mailed the old disc back on Aug 6th. So it took about 3 weeks to get the replacement.

Just got mine. Shipped it out on the 13th. So it took less than two weeks.

Since I have a mild case of Blu-OCD I also double checked the numbers on the bottom. Ends with R2, but I knew already...Gladiator looks stunning now.

New Yorkers you may be in luck today, i just stopped home for my lunch break and my copy was inbetween my door!!! finally!!!!!!! i sent it out on August 12th

People like me have been posting updates on the exchange program since it was announced (You can check out my original shipping info on the original announcement for a replacement program, as I was the first to post it). On any replacement where you are only required to send in Disc 1 it should be understood that this is a 1:1 exchange. The disc with extras had nothing wrong with it. Same goes for the slip jacket cover and actual casing. I agree with toddly that this is a bit odd to just throw away a perfectly good supplemental disc, case and cover. Since this is a free exchange program for enthusiasts, PHE is already spending money to give the disc away for free. From a business standpoint, it would not make sense to have to incur more expenses to send out brand new cases and supplemental discs. The pricing adds up when having to give away the full package. If I were a big business, then I would definitely always look at the bottom line which is profitability.

Aside from those facts, for the sake of relevance to this thread. I sent my disc from Texas to PHE on August 4 and received it via Fed Ex delivery on August 23, so give it about 2-2 1/2 weeks. If at 3 weeks you do not receive it, then I would call Paramount at the number listed on this thread.

Finally received mine in Iowa! Thought it was weird that Paramount barely closed the envelope on mine.

I noticed on my envelope that it was shipped on the 20th. So expect a week for them to receive it, unless you do priority and then another week for it to get to you. My turn around was about 2 weeks. So really not too shabby. I'm impressed by how they handled this replacement.

+1 me too it was a very simple process minus the waiting period but i guess you can't blame them
