But funny enough the creator of Gossip Girl recently mentioned that Jen auditioned for Blake's role on that and she really wanted the part. But the producers were deadest on Blake.

So another what if. But seemed it was for the better for Jen.

As much as I like J-Law -- and i just got back from mother! btw -- she never would have worked as Serena on Gossip Girl. That pretty much had to be Blake, and thank the gods that it was.

I'm sure part of it is that I'm just used to Serena as played by Blake.

But I also think that a big part of it has to do with how differently Blake and Jennifer come across on screen. Yes, know that's why they call it acting and all that. But Serena was a character that simply seemed to be written right from the start for Blake Lively, even if without knowing it. She's just perfect for the role.

J-Law seems somehow, off.

I forget: Did you watch the show? All the way through?

I agree. Love Jennifer but she lacks...i don't know...heat on screen IMO. Blake has it in spades. Jen comes across as too wholesome sometimes.
