Ep. 9 will likely take place entirely at the Wall. Neil Marshall is directing, and it's the "big battle" episode.

Do they have official resolution they support? I get very crappy image on some episodes. Doesn't matter for S1-S3 since I have BDs, but still, till S4 and other seasons come out.

I'm not sure. The video comes out choppy on my computer (didn't used to, though), but plays perfectly on my iPhone.

HBO has renewed “Game of Thrones” for two more seasons even though author George R.R. Martin hasn't finished writing the books yet. So if you're wondering who's most likely to die at the end, it's George R.R. Martin!

Just curious, if any of you have friends/family who are unsullied - do you think HBO has overplayed their hand with the trailers for this season? With so much focus on Tyrion being imprisoned, several King's Landing characters wearing black, Tywin sitting on the throne, etc. - might viewers suspect that Joffrey's in for it?

I always think they overplay it, both with their previews and their "previously on" segments. Maybe it's just because I know what things mean already.

On a side note, with Joffrey's end eminent, am I the only one who is kind of disappointed we never got a POV chapter for him?

What a twisted POV that would be...



It is a shame, though. I love it whenever we do get POVs from characters you'd never think we would. I flipped out when Melisandre got one in A Dance with Dragons.

Makes me wonder if we might ever get a Varys POV before everything's all said and done?

On another note, it's very interesting that the show has made Thorne the acting commander of the Night's Watch. This will undoubtedly make for a different path for his character than in the book. Surely, he can't make it out of the season alive if Jon is to assume the position?
