Me three. And yeah, good point about reselling it, though if a miracle happens and Warners UK acknowledge the problem and offer replacements for MM2 then that'll be fine too.

I would imagine that, if it has been pulled from the schedule by the usual retailers, then you could potentially make a handsome profit by selling it on.
I also received a dispatch email very early this morning from WB shop, and whilst it would be tempting to stick it straight on eBay for an exorbitant price, I’ll probably just keep it, as I don’t really need the extra greenbacks.

I just wanna see what's actually on the MM2 UHD, like whether it has the documentary or not. If I can sell it on for a few quid then so much the better, there will be plenty of people who don't give a shit about the OG audio who'd love to get their hands on it.

It has the documentary Geoff - I watched a bit of it last night. Its about 48 minutes I think? It also has the commentary track.

I watched a bit of the film too. Its only when I did a quick compare with the Blu-ray that I noticed the sound in all honesty (I did have the volume down mind!). The Atmos mix is really beefy compared to the old Blu 5.1 track. The PQ is fantastic - no comparison. I need to watch it properly though.

Probably because it's not an error. Just because it has more contrast doesn't mean it's wrong. Kino's looks super flat, and more contrast means darker black and brighter highlights. Mad Max 2 also has detail missing in the blacks compared to the previous release, so where's the outrage over that? Not every single detail in the blacks is supposed to be seen, but every one should know that by 2021.

LOL Scooby Doo. Fact is I said from the beginning they'd fix it while everyone was lighting their pitchforks, and I was correct.

Same here. I almost grabbed the 4K anthology last week at my local Best Buy. I actually went to get it this Tuesday, and both copies from last time were gone, so I guess they got recalled.

Emailed Wow HD and they gave me a UK returns address but i might just keep it, watched the Doc and then the film synced with the audio from the Blu-ray.

Blu-ray 18 secs
4K 17 secs

Uh…this is just from a very quick glance, but the UHD transfer for Mad Max 1 appears to be the same as the Kino after all, minus the Dobly…

Received from WBSHOP today.

Surprised that there are no rating logos on the case artwork. Could have been perfect if these came with a slip cover.

Wondering if should go through any replacement program for Mad Max 2 4K disc ?

Two quick questions....

1) Is it a sturdy box like those now employed by Arrow, or more the old-school flimsy style?

2) Are the individual cases UK- thickness, or thinner US style?

Should have mine arriving soon, and like you have no idea what I'm supposed to do when retailers like Amazon and Zavvi have placed a halt on sending this out, but Warners' very own store has just fired them to us.

They surely must replace the Road Warrior disk?

Same transfer, but not identical presentation? We'd already seen photographic evidence and had a first-hand account that the US disk at least offered a more dynamic, 'contrasty' presentation that the flatter Kino - albeit with clipping.

Not ‘photographic’ evidence, screencaps which apparently went through the same process as the Kino ones on this site, which I questioned at the time because Randy had not compared the two discs for himself. And now they might need to look at that process again because the grade of the Warners disc is identical to the Kino: no horribly clipped blacks or whites, no boosted contrast or colour. Different encode obvs, but same 4K HDR master just as I assumed it would be. Hopefully capsaholic or one of our resident cappers can put this to bed.

And lol @ Warners for listing the extra features of the Kino disc on the back cover!

Gotcha - thank you. Is Dobly making any appreciable difference, from what you can see?

Given the only advantages now to the UK set are that feature, the documentary and Fury Road Black and Chrome, I'm giving serious thought to sending back my UK set and, once reissued, just adding the individual US Road Warrior and Thunderdome to my existing Kino MM and UK FR.

All perspectives on what I'm sure is not a unique dilemma are appreciated.
