I did nothing special other than running the images from www.webapalooza.com every night for 90 minutes and keeping the settings below 50 on contrast and brightness for the first 200 hours.

My philosophy on station logos is that they are not there during commercials so I didn't worry about them. ESPN and news tickers are also gone during commercials.

BTW, I only noticed IR once and that was when I turned off my plasma after having a BD splash screen up for a few minutes. A quick turn on and turn off of the TV resolved it.

I watch no TV at all, just my roommates. I've told them, but just in case - I've disconnected the cable, Nothing but movies for Jose!

For a week or so at least. Incredible. It's gorgeous. I have to clean everything up now, so mind the mess until I get back later today.

Now, I know I keep bringing this up, but remember how you said you wouldn't be upgrading anything? hehe

Give it time man. You'll ditch the receiver and get a pre/pro. It's the natural evolution of this hobby. You know you've thought about it, don't lie. Whenever you move out and won't have roommates, lookout!!

Oh, Beta, the one that moved out already has told me about the withdrawal.

But I've got mad weird roommates, they spend most of the time in their room - maybe use my setup like once every 2 weeks or whatnot to actually watch a movie. Fools.

B., it's only a matter of time. Shhh.

I'm trying to find more pics but I only have 2-3 with women on them. I thought I had more - I'll have to take more this weekend.

Hope you inspected the panel for cracked screen. One guy at avsforum received two cracked panels back to back . Anyway, can't wait to see more pics!!

Yea, I put it through its paces, everything's fine - has the buzzing that some sets have, but it doesn't bother me. I live with cubans. There's ALWAYS background noise!!!

What a difference six months makes in my living room! You know, I don't regret any of it - sometimes people ask how I could spend all that money on this (I've calculated it - MSRP for all my purchases for this room are $10k+) - but it's a purchase that will last me years, provide hours of entertainment for myself and my guests, something I use for hours every day. In fact, I'm enjoying it now. I'm incredibly happy.

Why? This plasma gives off no light. LCDs were so bright, but with the plasma now - my entire room is pitch black but the screen. With my old LCD, I could see the area around the TV lit too.

Oh ok. the black will make the tv blend in and i guess focus more on the picure. but you said you already get that so thats good.
