My 3 top 3 choices for now are the Michell Gyro, the Majik LP12 and the Nottingham Spaceship! Ever since we started PM-ing about the Linn, my curiousity got really stirred.

Make a trip to Ann Arbor.. just let us know and I'll have Tom O. bring in his full loaded LP12 that now has the new Radikal and Urika. Plus he has a custom plinth. It's gorgeous. Just hearing it you'll want the Majik and then start the upgrades

i hear you! From what I've learned about The Lp12, one can spend over 10k in updates/upgrades! Talk about future-proof and upgradability.

Rhett,

I do not recommend the Linn at this point. There are better for the money including those that you have mentioned.

Rhett, not really an upgrade, but I really want you to get those surrounds up higher in the air to see if you like them.....I think you will. Anyway to temporarily put something under those stands to get the surrounds about 2 feet over your head when sitting?

yes indeed. When Linn makes an upgrade, it has a purpose and makes a difference. Tom O also has torque setting for each screw on the table from experimenting with it to find where they sound the best due to it's sub-chasis and suspension springs.

I know Rich. Its all just wishful thinking at this time. The TT will be the last addition to my rig. Before I get a TT for the basement, I still would like to put up a secondary 2-channel system with a TT-as we've discussed before, nothing too fancy.

Ya know buddy...I have thought about raising them up by at least a foot a long time ago but have been too lazy to do so. I guess you have to hear the 110s in person though.... Just think of them as floor-standers because they are just that but in bookshelf form. The rear soundstage is really tall and has a lot of depth to it more so now with the panels plus the bass is crazy. You'll hear when when you come over one of these days. But because you've earnestly recommended it, I will try it out but it won't be this weekend. Thanks Bud! I appreciate it.
