Shelves on the left are Blu-rays and to the right are DVDs (which are slowly shrinking).

New year, new collection pics!
Everything is collected in this here shelf. Sometimes (like this time), you'll find a cat or two at the top as well.

And now for some close-ups in spoiler tags. Top two shelves. Sorted alphabetically.
[Show spoiler]

Next two shelves. Continuation from the first.
[Show spoiler]

Disney animation and Ghibli. Disney and Pixar is sorted alphabetically. Ghibli by order of theatrical release (except for the DVD's).
[Show spoiler]

Bottom two shelves. On the first shelf I have the DVD's I plan on keeping, the more exclusive ones, like all my Disney Treasures boxes. On the bottom shelf I have DVD's that I will eventually upgrade to blu, either they haven't been released yet or I don't think they're much of a priority.
[Show spoiler]

Haha, no. You can see a bit of my desk to the left. From there it's about 1.3 meters, and they don't have any trouble at all making a jump like that.

I used to have the same HTiB speakers that you have displayed in your HT gallery, I used them from September 2006 through to March/April 2008 when I upgraded my receiver and speakers to what I have now. It's what I started out with and made quite a few changes to my setup during the time I owned it. For a HTiB system it was quite good.

I've been looking for a new TV shelf and the one you're having looks just about perfect! Where are those sold, or does anyone know where I can get one with a similar look?

lol sorry for the junk but this is mine. Probably will buy or build a shelf soon. This is just my L-Shaped computer desk.

Not much, but it is expanding.

It was made by a company called Everett Worthington, I bought it in 2006 but has long been discontinued. I remember seeing a photo of a tv cabinet that is similar in design in the home theatre section of this site about 6 months ago, in a thread about tv cabinets, that a member was thinking about buying. I'm pretty sure the member posted up info about it and a link to a site that sold them.

Last edited by Cevolution; 01-04-2013 at 09:16 PM. Reason: Added additional info about the cabinet, but then removed it to include it in another reply.

I edited my previous post at the same time you replied to it, but when I realised I removed what I added. What I added in the edit was: If you look at the photos in my HT gallery you will see that the tv cabinet has 2 draws on both the left and right sides. The photos I posted up in my previous post are old, and at the time they were taken I wasn't using the draws.

Great photos, everyone!

Here is my "life of simplicity" offering. I guess it's fitting, since my all-time favorite movie is Le Samouraļ. I used to store my movies in the clear plastic cases years ago when I was moving around a lot, and I sort of fell into the habit permanently.

Setup - The birthday photo for my LG television and Samsung Blu-ray player that I bought a month ago, next to the wooden chests underneath the window:

Some of the Blu-rays recently collected:

Inside the First Wooden Chest: My larger (for now) DVD collection:

Inside the Second Wooden Chest: DVD collection continued:

Inside the Second Wooden Chest on the lower layer:

As time goes by, the DVDs will fade in number as they are replaced by Blu-rays, but there's no rush.
