I do like the idea of the stunning Kate Mara as Sue Storm, it's the only news I've heard that excites me about this movie.

Bell as the Thing is an awful choice.

Right on.

They think to get the "young audience," they have to have young people in the movie. Even though Tony Stark, one of the most popular superheroes in the world, is "old." Thor, Cap, Black Widow, and Bruce Banner aren't a bunch of twenty year olds.

Fox seems to think that young people are only going to want to see this movie if the FF are a bunch of actors that would look right at home on the CW. Fox apparently hasn't caught on that you can still capture the young audience even if your characters are "old."

I don't like the young, ultimate FF. I don't want a CW version of the Fantastic Four.

Yeah, but the cast is young looking and they're going for the CW, MTV Fantastic Four again. They're not literally a group of twenty year olds, but I want a distinguished, established scientist Reed Richards. I want the Invisible Woman, not the Invisible Girl. Fox is going for the Ultimate version, and I'm just not a fan of the Ultimate FF.

If the movie looks good, I'll be able to admit it and go see the movie. But at this point in time, I'm not interested.

Slashfilm is reporting that according to Variety, the deal with Kate Mara is done. Kate is locked and loaded for the reboot. The others are still being reported as nothing more but rumor and speculation as no word has came from the actors nor their reps.
