I prefer to stick with US editions of Steelbooks, but Zavvi seems to be the best source for Steelbooks. What are the disadvantages, if any, to getting UK ones? Do the digital copies still work in the US? Are the discs region-free?
Zavvi's shipping boxes suck, UK digital codes don't work in US, and region free depends on the studio.

They have world exclusive steelbooks, will include a booklet or artcards, and have a lenticular slip or full slip over the steelbook.

Collectible Trading section here or eBay.

When they say exclusive they are the exclusive retailer for that country.

Where might I find some really cheap deals on Steelbooks (and general Blurays)? (other than the usual eBay)
You can try the collectible trading section on here or amazon. The best way though is to keep up to date and go to the store the day they come out.

Here's something I never really thought about until the Sausage Party steelbook was announced. Have you ever passed on watching a movie at the theater when you knew there would be a steelbook for it and would more than likely be buying it?

That's how I'm feeling right now about Sausage Party and Jason Bourne.

I saw Bourne in the theater just because I'm a Bourne fan. Plus, if the artwork on it is just the poster artwork with "you know his name" I won't be getting the Steelbook anyway.

I'm like that with The Conjuring 2. I'm waiting till I own it to watch it. I wanna be comfy in bed haha. First one is one of my favourite horrors.

Anybody else find it funny how this appears to be the first in history to have a title only on the spine? Referring to Huntsman Winters War. I've gone through 3K titles I own and never seen it before. Clearly there had to be a reason for it

A QUESTION TO ALL MALE STEELBOOK COLLECTORS:

Does your wife or girlfriend know how much money you spend on steelbooks?

Do you ever try to "hide" your steelbook purchases from your significant other?

I must confess that I do hide some of my steelbook purchases.

Lol yes I do. Have a separate PayPal just for them now as well. I don't hide all just some though which ever ones I can get home before she sees the package. Then I put them on the shelf behind my displayed ones for a bit. Tell rearrange time and if she asks I just say they were the ones in the back. That she couldn't see. As I am sure she takes pictures of the ones in the front to see if new ones get in there

When a pre-order is showing as sold out, but it has gone live, does that mean I've missed the boat? Or is it just pre-order sellouts and there will be more general release copies? I'm talking specifically about Finding Dory and Aliens on Zavvi.

Is it just me or in the history of home movies has no one ever had the crazy idea to put the title of the film on the spine vertical (down) instead of the always horizontal (sideways)?
This would of looked a lot better

Logos aren't designed to be vertical. That would involve a redesign and more $$ which is why they won't do it.
