Question Steelbook Questions |OT| of questions that don't deserve their own threads

This thread is for when you want to know the answer to something steelbook related, but don't want to make a whole individual thread for it. Or can't make a thread. Or don't want to get roundly mocked.

No question too small! Or too dumb!

*PSA: PLEASE DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS RELATED TO EBAY OR SCALPING BECAUSE NEOZ AND CRAZYBLUE WILL FIND YOU

Well, someone has to ask the first question I guess...
What is the best and least damaging way to removing a steelbook spine plate when customising a steelbook, incase we want to change the interior artwork?

1.Hair dyer
2.Highest heat a couple inches away from the spine for about 30-45 seconds
3.x acto knife

Default Are these steelbooks worth selling away?

Hey guys, I have been inactive since 07/2012 (WOW). Back then, I used to be really crazy in collecting these steelbooks. Since then, I have moved away for college and sadly lost interest in steelbooks. Lately, I been in a rut because of finances (thanks college!) and I am looking to possibly offload the [little] blu ray steelbooks that I have to get some money. I will miss them! Mostly because they gave me something to do and now I am onto collecting other things (darn you amiibo). I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place but it did say "steelbook discussions"

-Inception (FYE exlusive)
-Beauty and the Beast (from best buy, i believe it's just the case)
-Iron man 2 (from Target)

All brand new sealed (I forgot about these)

-Monsters' Inc (BB)
-Wall E (BB)
-Ratoutille (BB)
-Resident Evil extinction (Walmart exclusive)

Thanks everyone!

PS, if you recognize me from CAG, hi!

Hi David, welcome back.

The Disney ones and Iron Man 2 can probably get you some good prices like Vinny mentioned.

If you do want to sell them please use our trading section located here.

https://forum.blu-ray.com/forumdisplay.php?f=142

Inception and Resident Evil not so much since those can be picked up cheap. The RE SB's have been spotted in Dollar General for $5. And Inception since it has a general release might not fetch as much. Although since it is the FYE version it might get better prices over the standard release.

This thread...now with sticky.

It looks really bad having a thread with just a question. So now there is a thread specifically for that now.

That means I can clean up the Collection Thread and get it back to collections and not just questions all over the place.

Why? There's already a billion sticky threads.
Just merge this one with JW's thread, and remame it.
Once you go past 3 or 4 sticky threads, it kind of defeats the purpose.

Wouldnt it be better to use an old credit card and not a knife to stop scratching the plastic/metal/fingers

No

If you're careful and slow you wont scratch the metal or plastic
