I was looking forward to getting this until I read about the 'gay controversy'. Frankly if they're gonna start putting this crap in games, give me an option along with whether I want 2x aliasing or 4x aliasing to turn off 'hot man on man action'.

I have Borderlands and found it a huge disappointment, and that is the reason I am playing this game, now. It has not story, and it is very monotonous. The graphics quality is very low. A tad better than Road Runner/Coyote cartoons. In my spare time, I'm trying to collect Dead Space trophies rather than play Borderlands. It is nothing like Fallout 3, which I found just as addicting as DA:O.

I'm really bummed, though, that I can't take my DA:O save games from one machine to another. I wanted to play today, and hang out with my birds, who live upstairs. So I ended up frustrating myself shooting asteroids in Dead Space all morning.

By the way, I'm a little bit disappointed with Wynne. I let Morrigan go in exchange for her. I lost a lot of offensive magical power, and I'm still using a lot of potions for healing. Maybe I just suck at this game, too!

You need to fix Wynne's tactic slots as they're a bit off. Most of Wynne's spell should be focusing on your tank as he should be taking most of the damage. Wynne has a pretty cool combo with Petrify/Stone Fist.

You do have an option. You have to go out of your way to do this. Is it THAT hard to restrain yourself from the obvious dialogue options (the first of which are obvious but not in any way over the top?)

Well is there any way to score with a chick? Cause then I'd be ok with it. Each to their own and all that. The way I understood it was that it was a scene integral to the plot, ie. not optional story branching etc.

This controversy is all over nothing. Created by conservative interest/watchdog groups over nothing (and I consider myself politically conservative). If you don't play gay, nothing gay happens. I gotta wonder what anti-gay people are doing playing gay to find out! Like toe tapping in the restroom, I guess.

Gotta wonder, though. You can't play a game with gay sex in it, because you're morally or ethically against it? But you can play a game with lying, stealing and murder, because those are morally okay?

Oh no, it is not integral to the story in any way. It starts with something like a statement of "Where I'm from, gender doesn't matter that much". Blow him off immediately and you avoid any reference to it. For that matter, just never talk to the character, it's pretty obvious which character it is.

Yar, I picked up on those vibes with our first conversation and never talked to him again until her turned. I dont think I even go the the part you did where he says that. I also tried like hell to bag morrigan, but my character was female so it woulnt happen

to be honest, gay references in a game like this are no more out of place than anything else. Men in ancient Sparta often took younger counterparts as proteges. It was more of an emotional and educational relationship, but there was very often physical intimacy involved... and that's just one of many classic examples. So much for modern notions of manly men!

Question - Can I get mages to manually heal who I want (without the use of tactics)? I haven't tried it yet,

You can't heal NPCs. It helps if you do everything you can before the battle begins and don't use any global magic spells like blizzard. You get an extra treasure if you have zero casualty.

Spoiler = [spoiler] [\spoiler] use / instead.

I need the 20th level warrior, all the possible endings, traveler and a secret tropy that ties in with one of the endings. I could probably get them all when I finish the game I'm currently on.
