That's what I'm thinking might be the case also. Criterion's website just lists the Blu-ray as "CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE" right now, but the DVD edition is still for sale on there.

Yup, exactly, This same title went out of stock after the last Flash sale in October. A week later it was back in stock.

Criterion used to be good about letting people know when titles were OOP or going OOP. Do they not do this anymore?

Yes, they still do. As said above, Repulsion is not OOP. It's just unavailable until more copies are pressed.

Rule of thumb: If you want to know if a particular Criterion title is OOP, go to their website, look up their page for the film in question, and check the "purchase options" section.

If it says "Currently Unavailable" (as does Repulsion), it means they are out of stock and need to press more. And, chances are the DVD will still be available.

If it says "Out of Print" (as does, for example, The Third Man, then it really, truly is, OOP, even the DVD.

For the entirety of its existence, Criterion has kept every one of their titles in print unless they've lost the rights to a film in question. If that's the case, it will be OOP in all formats, which is why the availability of the DVD is significant in determining whether the BD is OOP or not.

Although I can see it on their website directly (29.95 MSRP I think) I can't find Synapse Films release of The Dorm That Dripped Blood anywhere else, perhaps a candidate for the list?

That's the only place I can see it also. It would appear it's likely out of print but Synapse has a supply for their own store that hasn't dried up yet.
