There's boardgamegeek but I would not recommend it. The members were far too aggressive and the main mod was also far too heavy with the ban hammer, making it a very unpleasant place to be. Entire threads would be mostly "deleted for...", "deleted for...". Opinions were not welcome unless the majority agreed with them. For board games. After a few years as a member contributing lots to the site I ended up deleting my account and taking it all with me. Wasn't worth it.

Well I'm a longtime newsprint guy, so I'm right there with ya as far as the biggest social media offenders go. The forums on this site can prove quite informative to me, which is highly appreciated. That's one of the reasons I've been a member for so long.

So next week I get to see a 4K of one of my favorite movies of all time, one I saw in the cinema on opening weekend when I was young and many times since. The stakes are high.

Scream is 28 years old now. Halloween was only 18 years old when it came out.

The Force Awakens will have a 10th anniversary next year and it will be only four years less time back to it's release than between the original release of ROTJ and the SEs (which was FOREVER).

It's now been longer since the release of the Veronica Mars movie than it was from when that came out to when the last season of the original run of the TV show debuted (which was FOREVER).

Cleopatra was closer to being a member of Gen Z and walking around Alexandria staring at an iPhone than to having been at the grand opening of the Pyramids of Giza which makes any older Millennials, Gen X, etc. who were around at the opening feel....

but most startling.... Blade Runner 2049 was set 40 years in the past from today.
