This might be due to that one distributer no longer handling media anymore. When I do a search for "blu ray" at Target.com, I see 1780 products listed, including preorders for Kino and Arrow, plus items from MVD, Severin, and OCN.

Again, Target uses a distributor just like Best Buy so it doesn't own the inventory, or it can just send it back. The exceptions are Target exclusives (obviously), which we've seen Target having to clearance. But there just are so few of these now. Bottomline- don't look for clearance or deep discounts. Target has no need to do that. |

Yeah, I believe Ingram going out of business is the biggest factor for why so many titles at Target are OOS. I think they used Ingram heavily, even more than Alliance.

Something I just learned today is that Target absurdly doesn't automatically lower prices on pre-orders to price-match themselves if you order earlier than two weeks. So if you ever do pre-orders on sale make sure you aren't over paying. They are making a "one time exception" but still something to keep an eye on.

And while I do not have any inside information, I think the reason we see less B2G1 free deals now is because they were more beneficial in-store for Target than they were online. With most people utilizing these sales on the website rather than in-store, there's just not a lot of incentive for Target to hold them. B2G1 used to be a great way to clear out space in back stock and maybe even incentivize people to spend more in-store than they meant to. You might be coming in just to buy some blu-rays, but there's a good chance that, like most Target customers, you end up buying more than you intended. |

I went in to get a price match, but the price match had expired (I guess their policy at the time was 7 days). So I said, "ok, I'll just return it and rebuy it then", since it was still within the 14 day return window and I hadn't opened it yet. Guy said they couldn't do that. I said "Ok, just return it". He then threatened to call security if I went into the movie section to buy the movie again. He made up some BS calling it a "loss prevention issue". I said, "so I'm now the only person in the world not allowed to just walk in here and buy this movie or something?", I then asked when this ban on me buying the movie expired? Did it apply at all Target stores? Got a blank stare for 10 seconds as the illogic of what he was saying processed in his mind, and then he gave me the old "ok, as a one time exception I'll ring it up for you here" line. ![]() |

Well whoever that was, he was absolutely correct. I was wrong with the version I had picked out. I ended up returning all six of those long, oversized underbed bins and got these ones instead: Sterilite 32qt Clear View Storage Bin with Latch Purple. They are perfect. The previous one was 48qt so they held exactly +50% more, but they are also too big and too heavy to maneuver when full. These ones are only $7.99 (precisely half the price) and are much more portable. They each hold about ~80 amaray cases comfortably. ![]() This is a much better solution that what I was using previously. They stack well, are smaller and simpler to move, and it's easy to grab a couple additional ones from the store if you need more. Both the price and the portability. I have now reclaimed my living room space and it looks so much better. |
