CR/DF have replaced zero. Instead they pull or threaten to pull them. That somehow is better.

Just like its the director's fault CR/DF advertised this as the last victim/ forced entry and its also the director's fault DF said it was 88 minutes. With ruined 2 and 2 always equal 5.

And please don't make me laugh with something incredibly minor compared to a missing 13 minutes of movie or half of a movie being significantly out-of-sync.

Incorrect, The Last Chase had a replacement program

As the cuts on the disc were provided by the director and there are no HD suitable elements available for the inferior 88min VHS cut what do you want in a replacement disc? VHS quality encoded on a Blu Ray?

Let me put it bluntly:

Superior cut: THE LAST VICTIM (the original "uncut" film)
Inferior cut: FORCED ENTRY (original "uncut" film+some sexual violence scenes randomly spliced in released years later as a cash-in - like Franco's inferior "uncut" 99 women.)

Superior cut: THE CARRIER Director's Cut (Excellent ending and better pacing, some DNR due to print damage but fully color corrected)
Inferior cut: THE CARRIER Theatrical Cut (Nonsensical ending and worse pacing, disowned by director - less DNR but washed out color)

Superior cut: Screams of a Winter Night (Directors Cut - complete film)
Inferior cut: Screams of a Winter Night (Theatrical cut - whole story chopped out for technical reasons, not pacing)

In all three of the above cases the Code Red / Dark Force Blu-rays are fine in their presentation of the superior cut. Maybe the inferior cut issues in each case, but this is not a huge deal to me because in each case I'm getting the director's cut of a film that was previously lost and/or never before available in remotely decent quality.

The one, and only one, title you could argue does not have the preferred cut is THE HOUSE THAT VANISHED. But even there, the DF Blu-ray remains the only HD source worldwide, even if the print is incomplete. Unless you'd prefer a horrendous quality battered up VHS tape, okay, otherwise its still better than nothing - as there is not even a DVD quality release of THTV uncut, the DVDs are all bad VHS rips.

But I am sure this is something the outrage mob will enjoy having a field day with. For the rest of us, this will remain a superb release due to finally making available the original uncut film THE LAST VICTIM in excellent quality.

Sorry if that running time is different from a UK Pal release on VHS. Initially we were unaware of the running time of the movie and went by what is listed on IMDB which probably isn't accurate.

Never said I wanted this replaced. Just the product that was advertised.

LOL what does that even mean? Are you trying to imply that the difference in running time between the VHS release and your Blu-ray is due to PAL? If that were the case, the film would be SHORTER in PAL, seeing as how, you know, it runs at a faster frame rate?

And you went by what was listed on IMDb...that's telling.

I mean seriously, you literally have to wait on reviews now when you can't even trust what they say it will be. That's what I'll be doing from now on...it's just not even worth it otherwise at these premium prices.

That was before we received the end product which when we did it was not advertised as 88 minutes in the descriptions further on Facebook or at the store. We later learned this was the version the director had made available so we assumed this was all of it.

In this case, the IMDB is accurate, because the US VHS on Harmony Vision Video does run 88 minutes. I know a lot of scenes were added for this rerelease R rated 88 minute version. Your only mistake was "assuming" YOUR Forced Entry was 88 minutes without timing the bluray first. This mistake could have been avoided or you could have put the extra 16 minutes as extras.

Check this link, its not just "extra scenes" its a totally different re-editing of the film (which apparently destroys whatever merits the original had). They would have to include the entire re-cut movie, not just an extra 16 minutes:

By order of William Olsen the new release of THE LAST VICTIM/FORCED ENTRY will no longer be available until he discusses the running time issue with the director Jim Sotos who is currently in a nursing home. We may have a very small number of copies left from the first batch we had that we will make available for sale when the Dark Force Superstore reopens. In the meantime we were made aware there is an inferior VHS available for those that want to see it. Hopefully this issue will be resolved and we will have access to it again soon.

So you have ruined shut up. You don't play the director's health card, and you don't warn/threaten to pull it. Instead you man up admit you messed up, and apologize for the mistake. Then you promise to try to do better from here on out...and the most important part is you follow through with the promise.

That's really a shame because the poor director is dying in a nursing home and begged Bill to put out this version of the movie that he wanted to be seen. Bill took years to release this because he lost interest and handed it off to us because we figured The Last Victim was a good fit for Dark Force. Probably another mistake though.

It's disappointing to see you willingly misrepresent the issue, Dave.

• You yourself claimed it ran 88 minutes.

• The old VHS tape ran 88 minutes (not UK pal, but the US tape)

• The old rip of that VHS tape I just acquired runs 88 minutes

Hey, THE LAST VICTIM was always 75 minutes? That's totally cool.

But how about you guys actually look into why FORCED ENTRY is sixteen minutes shorter than, and let me be really clear here, the VHS TAPE FROM THE UNITED STATES.

Jeeze, man, I'm honestly rooting for you to succeed. But for the love of god, don't play Bill's stupid games. And by what authority does Bill have to stop you from selling a Dark Force release? Stop it with this crap and be real with us.

I'm not boycotting Dark Force or hating on your label AT ALL. I like it! But if you want customer loyalty then you need to earn it.

But wasn't the cover art that lists 75/72 minutes created WELL BEFORE you announced your version of FORCED ENTRY being 88 minutes on your site?
